Thank you so much for your best wishes. I heard from the last of them a couple of days ago. Everybody is safe and sound. Houses are gone, and things are lost, but everybody is alive and that's what matters. Stuff can be replaced.

Best wishes to your family. I hope they are temporary Texans for now.

Things can only get worse in LA and Mississippi, especially when the next storm hits....and it will, unfortunately.

You guys are all so great. Everyone is doing pretty well. My cousin who stayed in Biloxi ended up safe. My Aunt and Uncle in Biloxi lost their house, but miraculously, their small business was one of the 10% of the buildings in Biloxi that was not destroyed. They'll need a new house, but their source of income is not gone. I had another cousin that lived in Biloxi. Her house was demolished, but she evacuated to Birmingham with her boyfriend and her boyfriend found an even better job in Birmingham so they are going to move there permanently. My aunts, uncles, and cousins in New Orleans are all ok and they are living in southwest LA with the rest of the family. The people who need prayers are the poor souls who lost their house, their job, and are stuck in a shelter with dim prospects for the future. I hope they end up alright. Thank you so much for all of your prayers and best wishes.

Like Charlie Rose of the New Orleans Times-Picayune said about the residents of New Orleans: "But don't pity us. We're gonna make it. We're resilient. After all, we've been rooting for the Saints for 35 years. That's got to count for something."

Acharpe, I'm just outside of Birmingham about 10 miles +/-. If there's anything I can do to help any of your family in the area, let me know. May nt be much I can do, but I'll do what I can.

If they need anything, I will definitely pass it along. Thank you so much for the offer.
