In my possession I have a Cohiba that is almost completely dry. I have been reading some info on restoring it (It will never be the same again, sadly). All I have is the cigar and I don't have a humidor yet. I ordered a Toscana 100 Cigar Rosewood Humidor which will take a few days to get here, plus I will have to re-humidify the humidor once it does.
My question is, will the two plastic bag method work? If I put the cigar in a plastic ziploc bag with holes in it and put that in a larger plastic ziploc bag with a damp, but not wet, sponge? Will it really take months to bring it back?
I'm tempted to just smoke it now, but I would really like to save it and store in my humidor once it gets setup and enjoy the cigar once it has been restored as close to it's original state as possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
