Asking about another forum

I'll beg the indulgence of the owner, admins and moderators for even mentioning another cigar-related forum; but does anyone know what has happened to Puff.com? It was pretty active -- much more so than Cigar Forums has been lately -- but then it just disappeared about a week ago. Unless it's being blocked by my ISP, which I seriously doubt, it's completely off the 'net. My browser times out when I try to connect, and e-mail advising me of new posts have stopped as well.

If Cigar Forums had more activity, Puff.com's being down wouldn't bother me so much -- but Cigar Forums is so quiet, it's almost dead itself. (I'm doing my part to change that, because I really like Cigar Forums; but there's plenty of room for both places.) Right now the most active discussion site I've found is part of an online auction site -- you know the one -- and it isn't all that busy either most days.

C'mon regulars, "mostly inactive" members and lurkers -- let's light this place up with discussions! And if you know what happened to the other site, please let me know.

Dunno what happened to Puff or what happened to the guys that posted here.:dunno: This is the most welcoming and on topic cigar discussion site I've seen. I've been here since 2012 it looked like things were getting better and busier until last year. I've tried to get a few guys I know posting here, but they vanished after a few posts. I keep hoping things pick up.

Did a search and the puff.com forum appears to have been shut down since Sept., 2014.

Tony, the "reviews and information" side of the site had been inactive for awhile, but Puff's forums were still active and fairly busy until about the end of January. Looks like it's all gone now.

What can we do to get Cigar Forums going full-bore again? Sometimes I feel that you, Vince and perhaps one or two others are the only regulars here -- I'm very much a newcomer, so I don't yet feel comfortable including myself in your number. But I have been posting here, hoping that the new content will help get CF noticed by search engines; and I'm going to recommend it on my Facebook and Twitter accounts, which might also help a bit. Do you have any ideas for letting fellow BOTLs know CF is alive and kicking?

The only things I can come up with are to get friends and acquaintances to join us, and to post about new cigar brands that will be picked up by the search engines. I don't know if Lash has any ideas or plans. When Dustin was here he tried contacting some of the forum's prior lifetimes members, but that didn't bring much of anyone in. I'm online several times during the day visiting sites and even moderating on one, so I rarely miss looking in here every day for some activity.

Way off topic but got some nice opus x and a 5 yr old scotch for setting this up for a friend.... polk audio home theater. We watched Saving Private Ryan and I was blown away by the sound quality. Better than theaters.

Puff gone but a new site is up

Camo,it looks like some of the old Puff crew started a site called "Cigar Bum". Puff's owner died and attempts at resurrection have been futile.

Found the new site. Thanks, tonygraz, didn't know the owner had passed on.
