Blind Box Pass Sign Up

Well, my original idea was to settle on a lower value limit and not worry about the upper value limits. I thought the mystery of not knowing if you're getting a 5 Vegas 'A' or an Opus might be interesting.

Of course I didn't consider that some might not feel comfortable putting in a more expensive stick with a random take.

However, with several newer guys here that might like to try a box pass, it may be better just to do a normal pass. If you're interested watch for the sign up post later today.
 
Too bad someone doesn't have one of those bag sealers you see on TV, that way the bags could be "factory sealed and there would be no skepticism.... :wink:

Anyone fall victim of the Infomercial that I saw with one of these???
 
Smoka, do you mean the food saver?? Actually, those things are awesome. I use it all the time when I buy huge quantities of meat or use it for wild game. That would be awesome to use those for cigars, as long as it doesn't crush them.

You can seal the bag without sucking all the air out though couldn't you? Although, airtight packaging would be pretty cool too though....
 
Yeah, you can seal them with or without vacuuming the package.
 
I will donate a stack of envelopes made with unique paper, everyone could place each bagged cigar into an envelope and seal the envelope. This should be more than enough to keep our honor intact. If we all put our name in the envelope with each cigar, you will be able to post the names of who supplied your takes. This would help insure that everybody has met the preset minimum puts. We can keep a running list of names/takes. Dbrad4d, If this pass comes together, let me know and I will fire off a stack of envelopes to you, or whoever starts it. I hope you decide to start this pass, if you choose another idea...I call dibs on using your original idea!
 
That would work I think, FreedomGuns. Don't know why I hadn't thought of using envelopes. If you want to send some that would be great, or I'll see what I can find around here.

I have a good box and the initial cigar line up. If we can get enough people interested I'll see about getting it started the first of the week.

How about it guys? If you're interested in giving this a go, post and let me know and PM your address. If we have enough by the end of the week I'll go ahead with the blind box pass.

I'll post pass rules in a bit.

Here's a link to the thread for the very first box pass we did here. It was put together by cigarsmoka and actually made two rounds before it finished up. There are some good basic guidlines in it.
