I think this has been asked before, but I couldn't find a thread.

As a former working man and a current student, I don't really get to buy cigars much anymore. I'm burning through stock that I have, but I know I'll have to end up buying some cigars eventually. What are some good budget cigars that y'all recommend? By budget, I mean probably $5 at the B&M and hopefully a little bit cheaper by the box online. Some that I have enjoyed are:

Famous Nicaraguan 3000s from Famous Cigar
Tatuaje Series Ps
Ashton Benchmade

Thoughts?

I have enjoyed the Padron standard line, you can get those pretty reasonable.

I also like RyJ 1875 line, easy to find and a pretty good price.

And the 5 Vegas Original line, good taste and price.

I will keep thinking!

Oliva O and G
Fonseca Sun Grown
J. Fuego 777
HDM Dark Sumatra

Those are some of my regular lunch rotation. All under $5 depending on size.

Also Tat. Series P is in the $4 range.

Aubs, let me throw this at you: how about c.coms house labels? They are really good smokes. The Brazilian and Cameroon are excellent!!! A box can be had for under $50.

Hey straving student...ccom has a special on some Costa Rican Primeros, a wheel (50 cigars) for $39.95. I have never had one but would be interested in finding out how bad they are....but if cheap is what you want!

I heard Cuban Honeys were good...should i have posted this in the Cuban forum?

I checked again a wheel cost $29.95...so for 60 cents a cigar I order a wheel...I figure if they are bad I will keep them for the mooches (not mooks).

Have to go with the Oliva G or O Maduro's. Also La Unica #400, or even a Punch Rare Corojo. All under $5 and not bad cigars either. Or, you could always smoke Quorum's for $1.25 each

hey look in the retailers section. MDman's House brand Come in a rosado wrapper that is a nice Med bodied cigar and a double Maduro that is a bit more on the full side.

Today on Joe's daily deals or whatever it is, CAO Black Bengal's are 10 for $30. These are my favorite CAO (take that for what it is worth). They are a great smoke and for 3 bucks a stick, a wonderful deal!

5 Vegas Shorty for that quick 20-minute smoke at a cheap price. The cigar does run a little warmer than a comparable cigarillos. Just need to take in the smoke slower and rest the cigar longer. But for a budget price with a lack of sufficient time to smoke, it's worth it.
