i think id have to go with hobby because for it to be a lifestyle it would have to affect your life greatley (being addicted) i think its not something i cant live without but something i enjoy doing greatly and would be deprived without it

Just a hobby for now. Would like to be a lifestyle, but don't really have the time to smoke when I want to, nor where I want. I live in an apartment complex with my wife. No smoking in our home (of course), and no smoking outside our building except at a "designated smoking area" which is by our pool that locks down at 9pm every night.

From Dictionary.com

HOBBY: n. "An activity or interest pursued outside one's regular occupation and engaged in primarily for pleasure."

LIFESTYLE: n. "A manner of living that reflects the person's values and attitudes"

It's a lifestyle for me 8)

I would have to say lifestyle for me. Although I usually only smoke 1 or 2 a week, unless i'm on vacation or out for the night, cigars are a form of relaxation for me. I will not light up unless I have the time to devote to that cigar. Good cigars and single malt scotch to me are the finer things in life. They are hancrafted works of art to be savored on the palate rather than a painting one can not smell or taste. When you smoke a cigar it becomes part of you. You live it and breathe it. I would say that anyone, no matter how much they smoke, who truly appreciates all that a cigar can offer is of a certain mindset. If you just smoke a cigar to smoke a cigar, or play golf to play golf, it is only a hobby.

Both, it started as a hobby for me, but I invest more and more time and money into it now. I would say it is now part of my lifestyle.
