on the grass
so... now that Obama is going to take the white house and there is a democrat majority in both the house and the senate, should we expect to see the SCHIP thing again?

That is what worries me the most. We don't have to deal with just BO, we have to deal with a democratic Pres, House, and Senate.

Goodbye medical research, hello "free" crappy health care for America!
If I am a Dr. I am finding a new profession. My dad is a dentist and said he is now looking to retire 5 years sooner than he has been thinking due to the tax issues and socialized meds.

As another mook stated last night in chat, if there is socialized health care, then there should be no reason to have SCIP.

The original Clinton Health care package did not involve a cigar tax. It was added later simply as a way to boost the general revenues. That is my understanding anyway.

Do not be afraid of socialised medicine, it has been in Canada for many many years now, and generally speaking works quite well. I know, there have been difficulties with it in the last few years, but it does work.

So its ok to throw away all the money that we generate toward medical research?

If it works why do all the people wanting to see a doc cross the line to visit my cousin in Michigan, 90% of his cash patients are from Canada, the few who have health insurance in the Deroit area dont even want to pay the co pay, but the Cunics are there with Ben Franklin's in hand , he makes more on his cash paying customers from Canada than he makes on his insured US customers , if he were a real doc & not an OB-GYN I might seek his free advice , but all day long he is looking up skirts , & comes home & complains when his wife meets him at the door in a nittie & a martini in hand the lights low & he tells her , I had the same thing for lunch ! hahahaha

Vince, you could bring more people in to the cigar shop if you advertised that you did stand up for half an hour, every two hours.

Hmmmmm, wait just a doggone minute here, it's a cigar shop, of course they'd be rolling in the aisles.

BWAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
