Disapointed in Anjeo

I agree. Although I don't smoke them anymore, because of the cognac barrel aging thing, that's just my stupid assishness. They really don't have the obvious smell of infused spirits, the way say the aforementioned Gurkha does, or the Oliveros Gold cognac cigars I used to smoke do. They can be safely kept in a humidor alongside your other pure tobacco smokes, without a bad effect on your other cigars. They cannot really be labeled as a flavored cigar.

The only time you really notice anything mysteriously different from the norm is during the actual smoking of an Anejo. Having said that, they are one of the best tasting cigars I've ever smoked, but I don't like the fact that the Fuentes played with the flavor by aging the wrapper in cognac barrels. I want to see what you guys do with the tobacco blend, and the tobacco ONLY, not parlor tricks.

Aging cigar wrapper in cognac barrells is not some parlor trick. It is just another method to make something unique. It obviously worked because the Anejo is one of the most sought after cigars.

I personally don't smoke any except for the 46 size( and that isn't very often), the others just don't do anything for me.

They are a unique cigar that most people enjoy, I can see how others may not enjoy them. I will say they need to be stored in the low 60's humidity wise because of the thicker wrapper.

How's that old saying go? "Don't make a judgement unless you've tried twice while walking in an indians shoes?" Or something like that.

Actually I had a terrible experience with a CAO CX2 a couple of weeks ago. The whole thing fell apart and it didn't taste that good. Maybe it was from flicking the ash out the window while doing 80 down the highway. Well anyways, just last week I lit up the other one that I bought and it was excellent. Of course I know it's been said, but if you cannot bring yourself to smoke it, I'll give you my address and s/h.
