fantasy football

I am in now - with all of these Jets fans on the board I had to represent the other NY team. Good luck folks! This should be a load of fun.

gnats??? NAH ---- as you can tell by my team name, I am a die hard Bengals fan. Have been a fan for 37 years this month (I was almost 7 when they played their first game in Morgantown WV in August 1968.

I was a bit of a Raider fan until they signed that gutter trash Randy Moss!! That outweighs the fact they have Jerry Porter from WVU.

Calibus,

Raiders are looking good this year. I got Kerry Collins in another league. Alot of people of told me to get rid of him, but I expect good things with him and Moss, so will keep him.

I was mad when my Jets traded Jordan, but he is a great back and will do good things for you. Thanks for Jolley! He has been looking great in camp. He made some phenominal catches from Pennington and Fiedler in camp.

Ahhh! Football season is just about here Gentleman.

Yeah, they are looking pretty promising.

Good to see that Jolley is doing good things for you guys. He is a good TE. He was only expendable because the Raiders had/have so many good TEs.

Hmmmmmmmmm, just walked on by. Uh oh, a curious dumb blond(e) in the neighborhood.

:duh: :duh: :flush:

Well, before I move on, a rhetorical question.

What is "fantasy football??"

My Jets making it to another Super Bowl before Jesus returns.

LOL. It's something like that.

Listen, with Sir Chadwicke of Penningtonshire, Lord of The Hanging Curve at the helm, forget about it. Yes, he can throw three yards over the middle to a back with authority, and like just about anybody in the NFL right down to the kicker, can rear back and throw 60 yards and MAYBE get it into HIS receiver's hands, but if you're unfamiliar with my shtick, remember this, and you'll see what I mean.

A big part of professional football, especially since about 1980, has been the medium pass, thrown somewhere in or near the middle of the field, traveling in the air approximately 25-35 yards, and if the receiver is downed immediately, usually achieving a 15-25 yard gain. This weapon is a staple in the modern NFL offense, and the pass must be thrown with a low trajectory and . . .

AUTHORITY!!!

Well folks, with Sir Chadwicke of Penningtonshire, Lord of The Hanging Curve, the tune is . . .

"I fight authority and authority always wins, . . ."

Everything this guy throws is with "touch." Oh sure, the one that traveled 58 yards in the air to Moss last year had "touch." :cryinlaugh: His little "dinks" and "dunks" have "authority," too, as well as touch. :pumpkin: Hey, your three old niece can throw four yards with authority. :rotflmao:

If you want to know who plays the down the field, medium passing game to its finest, you need only remember two words.

TOM BRADY.

The Jets WISH.

You can't throw that pass with "touch," folks. Next time you watch the Jets, take a gander at Sir Chadwicke of Penningtonshire, Lord of The Hanging Curve, then come back here and tell me I'm wrong.

He throws like a girl.

LOL! I thought I was the only jets fan who thought Quincy shouldv'e played more last year. Then comes Fiedler. Hmmmmm......gotta be better than Pennington!

Ahhh, Quincy...I only wish the Tuna and Jerry "Führer" Jones weren't so quick in their judgement. My only hope is that Drew Henson picked the right sport or Bledsoe has a second wind... otherwise my lone star woes continue

I did NOT like the seven year, $64 million deal this kid got. Sure, he's got guts, and he throws with "touch." I said years ago to other Jets fans, give this kid three, maybe four years, but then scrap the plan because his arm won't make anyone think of Joe Namath. His arm wouldn't make anyone think of Joe Namath's ex-wife. As for Quincy, I always thought The Big Tuna Traitor gave him a raw deal in Dallas. I figured Quincy needed a better chance. He's got an arm like a cannon, needs maturity and poise.

I've been a Jets fan for 40 years. Ever since January 12, 1969, it's been very frustrating, and I point to November 24, 1986 as being . . .

The Death Of The Franchise. That was . . .

The Knight They Burned The Seats.

I won't go into it now, but I'm sure you remember unknown Miami Effin Fish rookie running back Lorenzo Hampton taking a third and two handoff, with the Jets defense lining up ten men on the line and busting through for a 54 yard touchdown run. 45-3 Fish.

You know, every victory over the fish still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth because of 11/24/86

And The Court wishes to know, Oh Great God of The Axe, where were YOU on the Knight in Question, That Great Day in Infamy . . .

November 24, 1986 between the hours of 9 p.m. and midnight. And it was on Monday Knight Football, no less.

:flush: :flush: :flush:

I can still picture it as if it were yesterday (or tomorrow, being that it's still Sunday where I am). 11 years old and barely still a Jets fan, sitting in front of the TV with my dad...a lifelong Jets fan, and my cousin Nick, who now has a fish tattoo on his left arm but back then wouldn't go anywhere without his Mark Duper jersey. The tears that rolled down my face that night were only eclipsed by the ones of joy just over a month before when the Miracle Mets had a Boston Tea Party of their own

At least I had the pleasure of hearing my cousin cry like a baby this afternoon as the king fish Dan Marino was inducted into the HOF. But of naturally, he'll be laughing at me next year when Aikman makes his speech

Being that The Cowboys, back in the old NFL and AFL days were always my favorite NFL team, I remain to this day, a big Cowboys fan.

Sorry Bloof the Cowgirls have stunk since Aikman retired. Hey Ill give you credit they were once a perrenial powerhouse but for the past couple years, wow. Yet, unfortunately, I like you remain a Cowboys fan. We'll see if they can pull something together this year.

That's true, they are having lots of trouble rebuilding. Perhaps if Charlie The Tuna had given Quincy more of a chance. :dunno:

I don't think Quincy was the guy Axe. I don't know about Henson but as for Bledsoe, :flush:

At least Julius Jones looks like a keeper.

Also, the division isn't very strong except for Philadelphia which may implode thanks to Terrel Owens and Brian Westbrook. The Cowboys are a youthful team and they may have a chance at the division.

ok guys im going to check everything tonight and id like to let the thing doing the draft asap! Chime in and let me know your ready.

I thought we were gonna set it for about a week before the first game. Better that way so we can adjust our draft orders based on pre-season and holdouts.

Anyways, whatever the date is going to be, make sure to post it on here and on the website first so I can prepare my list at the last minute.
