Fantasy Football

ok we now have a full league. i will set the autodraft next tuesday or wednesday so make sure to have your draft lists edited by then. good luck to all and lets have some fun

Nobody draft Martin Gramatica. I always get Martin Gramatica...so I can have the pleasure of benching him.

draft status has been set to ready. it will autodraft in the next day or two i will let all know when its done :D

Ugh -- This is going to be a hard year for me --- I cannot stand Michael Vick -- now I have to cheer for him. At least I did not end up with ANY Squeelers!

Mike Vick is your starter? That's tough. I don't mind him as my bench guy, but not as a starter.

My backup is Phillip Rivers from San Diego -- and I sure would not start him with a sore shoulder and his unproven track record.

The good point of Vick is that his rushing yards do add up to points. Last year I had Carson Palmer, but someone already beat me to him in the draft. I was shocked that Rudi Johnson went #1 in our draft. Last year I had a Bengal heavy team and that propeled me to the top. Righbt now I only have TJ Houshmanzada so it will force me to cheer for some other teams during the season.

It was supose to be Carson Palmer,I got a few things switched up.
I'm still happy to get ruuuuudi.I got a good selection of WR. that should make up for not getting my preferred QB.Good luck everyone.

Actually, you made a good move --- if you do research on Fantasy Football in past history -- the top 12 quarterbacks do not vary much in points generated --- but with running backs there is a HUGE drop off after the top tier. All the pundits recommended getting your running backs before worrying about a QB --- 2nd on the list was WR's

I had my draft board set up with the top RB's listed as a group -- then my WR choices --- then QB's. Last year I had L.T. from the Chargers and this year I ended up with Shawn Alexander from Seattle -- not much of a drop-off.

Of course, past performance doesn't mean SQUAT when it comes to the current season. there will plenty of rookies and "unknowns" that will score some good points and there will be plenty of big name players who will dissapoint!

I can't wait to start. I got second pick in my draft so I snagged Alexander; too may teams are focusing on LT so I tried an offense that has more proven weapons than just Gates, and LT. I did however get Gates in a later round. He got me a lot of points last year. My list goes as follows (just staters, I don't want to bore you too much)

RB's Alexander and Bush
WR's Harrison, Galloway and Andre Johnson
QB Bledsoe ( I did not participate in the run on QB's and chose to wait for one to drop)
TE Gates
Kicker Gostkowski (I always have to have one homer pick)
Defense: Indy

Wow what a weekend! Who would ever imagine Shaun Alexander pegging a ZERO!

Glad it is a 17 week season ;)

What is the scoring like in tha league for SA to get a zero. He netted me 5 points in my league on 51 yards. Still not what I expect on a first round back but what can you do. In real life things go differently than planned. Who would have thought Mike Vick would have got 17 points.

you get 1 pt for every 20 yds rushing, so SA had 2 pts, but you lose 2 pts for a fumble and SA had 1 fumble
