I really like this forum and everyone participating in it. I think it would be hard to find another forum that would come close to being great as this one is. But I was wondering, are there any other cigar forums out there worth visiting or did I luck out by finding the best one on the first try?

I think you lucked out and found the best one. If you want to be irritated and abused try the cigar talk forum at CA.

I have read some great things on cigarwise (down right now, and most of the folks there are on cigar syndicate) Some really knowledgeable people there....but I have felt more at home here than anywhere else

Thanks guys!

I'll take a look at cigar syndicate just out of curiosity but its nice to know I lucked out on the first try.

I'm liking this board better than the syndicate after looking around a bit. Way too much Cuban talk and not enough "USA legal cigars" talk over there. I don't know where to get Cubans, and I'm not particularly interested in flouting the law either. I'll just content myself with smoking them on the occasional business trip to the UK. (The perks of working for a British company lol)
On the up side, at least they seem to have a healthy respect for bang/$ ratio of the Olivas.

It's newbie-friendly. Heck it's so friendly, I'm already on Big Paintbrush's "list"!

Other forums I've been to are either snotty and enjoy looking down on us new guys, or they're for the high-end smoker only, or it's Cuban-this and Cuban-that, etc.

The list is BAD! BAD!

You aren't supposed to be happy that you are on it!!!!

<--looks at list and adds a check mark next to a name.

I half agree with what your saying -
First off the sysndicate is only 2 days old -
there is a great effort bein made to add new people that will hopefully
add more talk about all cigars.
No doubt the HCF are seriously into their Cuban Cigars.
Hey - to each their own - but I hope it doesn't feel like everyone is not welcome to talk about anything they want to?

I wanted to add -
Amback is a very friendly place with a lot of nice guys!
All are very helpful - I Like it here because of that!
I've made lots of friends that have grown to meeting off the board as well.

Do you know it not legal for American's to smoke Cuban Cigars even when they are in a country where they are Legal?

Not that it matters to me and not that anyone is checking,
but the Law is the Law~

Now that I didn't know. Suddenly I'm itching to read the actual text of that law.

i consider some laws to be more of a guidline, like the speed limit. you have to be capable of making your own decisions about right and wrong.
