I remembered that post, and was trying to find it. Couldn't come up with it though. Dang!

I was always partial to the Big old Monte Carlo - my buddy had one, adn we spent many an evening after work cruising around in that one - then he got married and had to sell it!!

Barcochris
1970, SS AND 'vert?
I'd think that's pretty rare.
1970's had the trapezoidal taillights in the rear bumpers for those not in the know, pretty distinctive, and as far as I know not many were made.
What motor is in yours?

What color combo?

The Daddy

Mine is red with black strip and interior and top. Thje origanal motor was a 454 but that was removed a long time ago. I am rebuilding a 427 for it right now.

Cool.
Good luck with the motor build-up.
I had a buddy with a '69, with a 396. Man, that thing was fast, and that big-block torque was unbelieveable!

AHHHH!!!! I had classic cars then I revised it after my post because I pegged you for golf....Live and learn.

i always wanted a '72 Cuda... but thats just me.

the other car that i want is a '57 mercury turnpike cruiser. its gigantic, and i love it.

Chris has the car that I want. All I would need is the electric blue paint job with the big fat white stripes up the front and I would be all set. I love Chevelles.

Right now the car is gutted. 36 years will tend to take a toll on a auotmobile. Fresh paint job is finnished I am running the fuel lines barake lines and working on the interior right now. I am hopping to have the engine in by the end of next month and then all I have to do is put it all back together. The engine is not the correct engine. but it is a rebuilt 427 from 1969. It will be backed up by a turbo 400 with a manual valve body 3.73 gerars. it should be a fun car to drive.
