Due to the overwhelming lack of interest, I will withdraw my original question and replace it with the following anagram.

My favorite baseball player is "beg to regret."

First correct response wins.

We have a winner :!:
Congrats.
PM me your info and I will see what I can dig up.

Alright, I've got nothing in terms of a tough as nails question for you all, so my fallback position consists of a jazz related question:

When John Coltrane left Miles Davis' 1st quintet to play with another star quality bandleader, who was his replacement?

And, part 2, who was the jazz personality that Coltrane went to join?

He was fired by Miles for alcohol and drug abuse. But he had a spiratual awakening. He went on to play with Thelonious Monk.
Miles replaced him with Hank Mobley. A short time later Miles hired Coltran back.
COOL IS FOREVER!!!!

Your welcome man. I hope you enjoy them

Well pbburner,
I'll begrudingly give you that.
Ira Gitler in the liner notes to the MD album "'58 Miles" states:"...The classic quintet of 1955...had lost Coltrane to Thelonius Monk's Quartet in the spring of 1957 and by the time Trane returned to the fold, at Miles' request, in late December, Cannonball Adderly was in place as Davis' new frontline partner."

AND I was going for Cannon, but, you seem to be hep, and Hank did play with Miles later, so I'll let you slide....(but you get a demerit, listen to "Monk Himself" as due penance...)

PM me your info, you dig?

AND, big ups to CorojoBrad!
Rec'd your package today, you are too kind!
