You know it seems like just yesterday when I walked into the local cigar shop for the first time to seriously take up the pleasure. Walking in with a knowing look of confidence on my face, only to be confronted with 100's of selections and of course 2 or 3 aficionados (in my mind) strutting around puffing and talking about shades,fillers,6 x 48,torpedo,Lonsdale,torch,Guillotine....aaaahhhh!
Now I was completely terrified and knew I was about to be embarrassed :?:  .
So I just grabbed 4 of the first one that caught my eye. Punch Double corona,s not bad for a guess.
Next time I decided to have the courage to ask the shop manager for a suggestion, and was introduced to 2 other stick lovers who gladly gave me some advice on a few to start trying and see what I like best.No sneer or snub from anyone. The best advice they gave me is that this is a Vice of pleasure not social status as most have been told. The preppy Macanudo craze of the 90's had a lot to do with that and almost ruined the cigar supply.
Easiest thing to do is walk in to a good cigar shop and ask for assistance. You'll get it I promise.
Enjoy your smoke friend.
