am i embarrased? ...yes, but i figure who better to ask, gotta learn somehow....this question is basically how to smoke.

i was fooling around with a cigar the other night and it seems like i have 2 different methods for smoking, please bear with me, there are hard to explain but ill do my best...

i dont inhale any time, but 1 method is like im sucking hard out of a straw and just keeping the smoke in my mouth, this seems to work but it seems like its not the right way

the other way is kinda like im just pulling my cheeks in, all the movement is done by my mouth and im not seeing my stomach rise as if im breathing like i do in the other method

i know ppl are probably laughing, but whatever, this is something i need to know, if u have any questions to help me explain my techniques more i will gladly answer, i really wanna figure this out

responses greatly appreciated

I don't know if there's any right or wrong way. What I usually do is just suck the smoke into my mouth, let it swirl around in there for a few seconds, then blow it out slowly.

Different people smoke different ways and there is no right or wrong way as long as you are not inhaling the smoke.

I actually smoke differently at all times. Meaning that sometimes I take deep pulls and sometimes I take shallow pulls. Sometimes I let the smoke sit in my mouth for a bit and sometimes I blow it out almost immediately. Sometimes I blow it out slowly and sometimes I blow it out quickly.

It mainly depends on the cigar I am smoking. I have found that certain cigars smoke better or have a better flavor if you smoke them different ways.

Basically do whatever feels good to you and allows you to enjoy your cigar to the fullest. As long as you are happy that is all that matters.

i take very light pulls opening my jaw to do it. i only take heavy drags when its burning poorely and i need to straighten it out. it took me a while to figure out the right way to smoke a cigar without getting that nasty acrid taste like a cigar that had been out then relit. i used to get that a lot, mostley cause i would never drag hard and i had to keep relighting parts to get an even burn. most of the time my smokes are maintenance free now. you just have to be patient.

My only advise - is go slow!
A cigar smoked slowely tastes best.
Some people will exhale a little of the smoke through their nose.
Careful it can burn  but you will also detect more flavors.
I do this but only with very fine cigars - but be warned it can cause your eyes to water & takes some getting used to.

No right or wrong - just what ever you enjoy!

Great question!
