Humi outside?

If it's as humid outside as I wish for it to be in my humi, can't I just take my humi outside and open it up for a bit?

I just traveled and checked my smokes on the plane, needless to say.... decent RH doesn't exist right now in my two desktop humis!

I don't see whay not. Humis will adjust to the humidity of whatever enviroment they are in...just might take some time.

Too many types of mold & what not in the air to leave it open outside.
If the air is that humid - the RH in humidor will level off pretty quick
just open it up once or twice a day in the house.
I find during the very humid weather - I need to dry out my humi-beads, by placing them in the sun to dry & then back in my humidor to suck moisture out of the air.

What CC said. Keep the humidor inside. I understand the urge but you could open your self up to a world of hurt outside. What if your neighbor decides to weedeat or something? What RH are you shooting for? Back when I was looking at 70RH I would use those drymistat tubes that held a constant 70 they can regulate and bring up your humidity in a jiffy.

Robert,
Nice to see you post my friend!
You should look in at the beverage board.
I don't drink & don't read it - but I know you posting there would add a great amount of Wine knowledge to the board.
Hope to see more of you here.

Thanks for the info, I'll just leave them be inside.
