Can cigars be too "humidified", say if the humidity was too high?

yes, they can be overhumidified. If they are they will not burn well, and there is a danger of mold.

If they sit in high humidity for too long, it can cause the natural vegetable glue that is used in cigar rolling to moisten up and cause the wrapper or cap to become loose and possibly unroll/fall off.
You can also possibly have a problem if they are at a higher humidity, I cant remember off of the top of my head what can happen other than mold chance...
Also, I think that cigars at above 72% start to taste funny.

Yes, whether your humidity or temperature is too high, sooner or later the chances are also high that you are going to Meet The Beatles. It will not be a pleasant experience, and will be very expensive.

Also, if they are rolled tightly you cigars can burst, ir get a crack in the body due to expansion.
