The hills and the hollers
So...I woke up this morning, just like any morning. I checked my email and opened one that I get at the start of the week from my Realtor. I usually just delete these. For some reason, this morning, I opened it. There was one house listed. It was the house Lindsey and I have always dreamed of. It has a beautiful back yard against a steam that flows to a stocked pond. A basement for Ellison to play and for an office. It even has some unfinished room that I can make into a humidor/cigar cellar. The hose is 20 years old, but was remodeled last year with new roof, AC, Water heater, trim, kitchen, hardwood floors. It is truly amazing!
So...I talked to my wife and we went and looked at it with the realtor and about 15 min ago, I placed an offer. Now the fun begins. We have to get our house ready for the market by Friday!

Wish me luck...LoL!

Congratulations, Connor!

Keep us posted on the progress!

Wow- congratulations Connor! That's some exciting news.

Make sure there is an extra couch ready for when Mrs. Barco kicks out Chris.

Awesome News Connor....

And if I am getting kicked out I somehow think you are right behind me Kevin

Must be some kind of inside joke about the eye thing

After the eye episode Craig, I think Kev will for now on want to be behind Chris. Just an observation from a humble Texan.

Cheers! DL

Update (and back on track!)

Our offer was rejected. They did not like it being contingent on the sale of our house. Sooo...we are placing our house on the market as is later this week. I will have to make some minor repairs in the process.
Let the fun begin!

Anyone wanna float my note for a while???

The market is such a mess right now. We planned on moving by now but we are holding off till the market rebounds. Good luck bro. I hope it works out for you.

Good luck - the house sounds tremendous.

Thanks for putting the thread back on track, Connor.

No problem One-Eye.

Some lady came over yesterday and wrote up a report on what I need to do to get my house ready to sell. Repair this, move that...etc. I am replacing my back door tomorrow (been needing to do it) and laying some sod this weekend. All the repairs I am going to me are things that I have been wanting to do for a while anyways. We should have the house on the market tomorrow and maybe an open house this weekend. My wife is soooo thrilled about that. She was up all night last night with a 409 bottle.

I spent all weekend doing repairs on the house. I replaced the back door due to some dry rot issues, filled some damaged areas in the hardwoods and polished, waxed, and buffed them, painted the front door, did some work on the yard, cleaned out the garage and pressure washed the garage, all exterior walls and windows, the patio, wet-vacked the carpets upstairs, staged the guest rooms, and even had some time to watch my vols get out coached by a friggin pac-10 team!
My house goes "live" in a few hours.

Over and under on days on the market?

Are you getting rid of the still? Or do you think the new people will want it there? I say 21 days, my brother.!! Good luck!

Great news HillBilly! A stream will be perfect to back the still up to!

First, I would prefer calling my still "yard art" so that the authorities will not catch onto my shine running.

Rob, we have the "yard art" listed as negotiable in the contract.

Steve, The running water serves two purposes. One, it provides cool fresh water to my "yard art" and B, it gets rid of that urine smell next to my back door because I am to lazy to walk inside and take a pee while smoking.

Rob, you gave me a good Idear....check my next thread, CONTEST TIME!

One and B huh? Your awesome Connie!

Get on Skype this weekend you mook!
