I love seafood, just that the Red Lobster is IMHO garbage. Too many other good places to go. Granted they may not be a national chain. One comes to mind that I do enjoy is Joe's Crab Shack.

Filler: Cuban seed Dominican piloto, Nicaraguan, Cuban seen Peruvian Ligero.
This is a fairly light aroma before the light. I’m actually surprised how light the smell is because of the types of tobacco used in it. The wrapper at the foot of the cigar is a bit loose. It’s not falling apart but its not packed or something.
I cut into it with a punch. I find that this took a bit more force than usual and that the draw is a bit tight. Maybe these two are connected?
The cigar starts out with very coffee like flavors. The after taste is to light right now determine what it is. As the cigar settles from the light, a lightly sweet note begins to develop. The burn became very even after it passed the loose part of the foot. No relights were needed. The smoke is very cool.
I am finding that I like cigars with tons of smoke. Maybe it has to do with the tight draw but this cigar does not produce the amount of smoke that I like to have.
The box press seems to hold its shape until the very last moment. Usually a box press will become rounded as it heats. This one doesn’t go to round until it’s actually ON FIRE. I always have liked the feel of a box press in my hands. It just seems to fit better.
The cigar just keeps building in flavor and complexity as it goes on. About ½ way through it picks up a chocolate note. It is somehow smoother at this point than an inch before. A woody after taste develops near the end of the cigar. I find this after taste to be good and long lasting but not oppressive in any way.
I burned it down to the nub.

I smoked an Onyx a few months back and found it to be very grassy and bitter. Based on Kuzi's review, I may have to give this one another try.

This has long been one of my favorites. I have no idea how it could go this long without being in my catalog.
I found the smell and taste of this cigar before I lit it to be very light. As always I cut it with a punch. The draw was almost exactly how I like it, but it was on the tight side. Just a good resistance. Instantly there is an explosion of robust tobacco flavor that was on the sweeter side. The after taste was smooth, rich and earthy. I find that most cigars don’t have an aftertaste until almost an inch in. This one has one immediately… and it’s a good one too.

As I burn down the cigar the burn becomes uneven but never enough to require a corrective light. I am told by a guy in the shop that the aroma is good. To me it smells woody and maybe sweet. The flavor is consistent throughout except that some of the sweet tapers off towards the last 1/3 of the cigar.
There isn’t much to say about this cigar except that it is good and affordable. If you want a medium bodied cigar with a good sweeter/woody taste that you don’t feel bad smoking on a daily basis, this is it. It isn’t to complex but it is very solid.

There is a nice earthy/woody smell pre-light. After cutting it with a double bladed guillotine I found the draw to be quite good. The tobacco feels oily and creamy in my mouth.
Early on in the burn of this cigar the flavor is earthy and toasty. On the negative side it is beginning to crack. I was hoping that this is just because of the dry air, however, every draw the crack got worse. The binder didn’t crack from what I can see but since the wrapper was cracking and peeling a bit the cigar began to tunnel. 5 Vegas has never let me down before. This has to be a dud or something.
After an inch an a half it still isn’t smoking right. I am almost tempted to grab a different stick.
After some debate, a little patience, and a touch of fire, it burned past the crack. The taste was still good and I had about half a stick left.
The taste didn’t have much depth. The flavor was earthy with a hint of spice. The finish on the palate is short and leathery.
At the end of the cigar a caramel note came out.
Though I’m usually a fan of 5 Vegas this cigar let me down. I hope it was a bad one.
I’ll find out soon enough. I have this Cigar’s twin brother in my humi. I intend to catalog that one as well and with any luck it will be great.

The precut taste is of classic tobacco and the smell is much the same. The draw is good unlit and has a very chocolate taste.
The light seemed very easy compared to the last cigar I had (R&J reserva real Toro (6 x 54))
The Cigar is very flavorful of the bat. A good balance of spicy and sweet is at the beginning of the cigar and it fades to an earthy spice by the end. There is a very light grassy taste that throughout the cigar ebbs and flows depending on how frequent it is puffed. The draw seems to tighten about half way through and makes you work ever so slightly for smoke. It’s a good resistance. Though the draw tightened the amount of smoke billowing out is enormous.
I’m not sure how it worked but by the end of the cigar I found the taste to be very boring and flat. The well roundedness of the first few puffs burned up long before.
The combination of a more full than medium cigar, an empty stomach and uninteresting flavor has made my initial liking to this cigar wane.
Maybe I would like it more on a better day.

I cannot find anywhere what those five countries are.
Pulling the cigar out of my humi I notice that it is one of the darkest Cigars in there. It is very firm to the touch and has an almost lumpy texture. The smell is surprisingly light. IT has an earthy pre-light smell and the draw reminds me of a chocolate cream.
The cigar opens with a smooth coffee and subtle caramel taste. There is a bit of spice on the palate that fades quickly. The aroma has the same hint of sweet to it. This is one good smelling cigar.
It holds a good ash. When I went to knock off some of the ash I was met with some resistance. The burn isn’t perfect but it isn’t all that bad.
After a few inches the flavor shifted to a more earthy and woody flavor. The sweetness faded some. Later in the stick I had to have a corrective light or two.
All in all I would say this is a fairly medium bodied cigar with a good wood taste and some coffee tones. The light spice keeps it interesting. The best part of this cigar though was the way it smells.

The cigar opens with a sweetness that is smooth and mild. It has a mild spice late on the palate. After the cigar settles from the light some of the sweet dies away but the spice stays and a coffee flavor on the finish that lasts. It stays consistent in flavor from there on out but builds a bit in strength slightly. A note or two of harshness is noticed from time to time.
Throughout the cigar the burn was perfect. No running, no tunneling, no unevenness, and not one relight.
Three were no problems with this cigar except for one. Nothing was amazing with this cigar at all. I may have just been expecting more out of it. Maybe more time in he humi would have gotten rid of the harsh notes but I would not have given this cigar a personality. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad, and I would smoke another one gladly, but it didn’t stand out in my mind.

A 60 ring gauge always seems surprisingly big to me. The cigar is firm and is a wonderful reddish brown. It has the tobacco “peach fuzz.” There is something about that I like.
The draw on this cigar seems a bit easy but I guess it could be worse. The unlit taste is earthy and has a hint at hops. It’s not very defined. It just has an impression of hops. I’m not drinking beer, but I think this could pair well with beer.
The cigar opens up with a rich earthiness with a caramel like sweetness. The two flavors complement each other perfectly. The finish is that of a classic ligero; earthy and maybe toffee. All of that is in the first quarter inch.
Thick clouds of smoke billow out of this cigar. It’s very enjoyable because of the satisfaction that it gives and the huge cloud of wonderful smelling smoke that envelops.
The cigar then settles to a round medium to full body earthiness and the same finish.
The burn is uneven but to a distracting point.
The second half of the Italia brings on a hint of coffee flavor and a more even burn. It’s a very relaxing cigar with a cool rich smoke. Towards the end of the cigar a mild cinnamon-like spice develops.

There is an oily sheen on this cigar and it smells very interesting. There is nothing overpowering about the smell of this cigar at all. After a clip this cigar has a good draw and a mild taste.
The cigar starts with a strange leathery taste with maybe a hint of pepper but it quickly settles into smoother leather and the pepper becomes more defined. I can’t put my finger on the aftertaste but I like it.
Approaching an inch and a half in the cigar a full roundness develops. Until this point it was a good cigar but seemed to be on the flat side. The initial flavor on each puff is a toasty earth with pepper coming on quickly after that. The pepper then dissolves into a leathery finish. The finish doesn’t stick around long. It makes me want to hold the smoke and “swish” like one would with a fine wine.
I somehow get an impression of raisins. It doesn’t taste like raisins, rather, it tastes like it would be good with raisins.
With less than two inches to go the smoke begins to warm slightly. This warmth pronounces the pepper and makes the earth toasty. It isn’t hot but it is warmer.
The burn throughout is very good. There were a few uneven moments but they were nothing to fret about.

The initial flavor on each puff is a toasty earth with pepper coming on quickly after that. The pepper then dissolves into a leathery finish. The finish doesn’t stick around long. It makes me want to hold the smoke and “swish” like one would with a fine wine.
I somehow get an impression of raisins. It doesn’t taste like raisins, rather, it tastes like it would be good with raisins.
With less than two inches to go the smoke begins to warm slightly. This warmth pronounces the pepper and makes the earth toasty. It isn’t hot but it is warmer.
The burn throughout is very good. There were a few uneven moments but they were nothing to fret about.

5 out of 6 smoke rings. If I could blow half a smoke ring then I would. But I can’t. Very good cigar.
