A nice 55 to 60 degree day in Westminster,Maryland.Yard work- trimming and raking 1 acre. I did get to smoke a bunch outdoors.
Went through 3 Riata Churchills. I can't believe how good this maduro is. It might be my go to cigar- finally replacing the Padrons.
I should get the new Honduran from cigar.com this week- might change again.
This ability to try and change is a wonderful bonus of cigar smoking.
I'm most thankful for finding this Forum. My best regards and thanks to each one of you who have taken the time to read my threads and answer them.
I'm envious( in a positive way) of your experience and in the spirit of a true aficionado your willingness to spend big bucks to satisfy your needs- without a hint of being a snob.
I love spending $350 plus for a box of Cubans but can only afford this one time a year while on Vacation. Vacation money doesn't count. My next Vacation- to the Islands- will be in February 2006.Might be Cuba through Canada.
You can bet your *** I'll buy a box.
Might send my wife on a Vacation alone and I'll stay home and spend my share of the Vacation money on Cubans. Fat chance.
Again- my thanks and keep the good information coming.

Thank YOU in return. Your contributions have been valuable as well, and you really have me wondering now. To say that you might take a Riata maduro over a Padron maduro gets me very curious. The regular Padron maduro is not only a great everyday cigar, but just plain one of the nicest I've ever smoked. They are also one of the most consistent in terms of construction and draw, and not badly priced either. Thanks for the tip. Isn't it wonderful how there's always another cigar to try?

I'm going to have to put those Riata maduros in my mental "next shopping trip" list.

I have never heard of the Riata, I am pretty intrigued as well.... :?

It's always great to have people come to the forum and get involved. It's a small community but one worth getting involved in. I have learned a lot and gotten to know some great people. Thanks for contributing :D :D
