YES I am a Navy Vet , I enlisted in the Navy back in the 1960's to beat the draft hahahahaha, I was the Souse Chef at Montour Hgts Country Club , just outside of Pittsburgh, when I figured I might get drafted soon, so I went to the recruters office & talked to a few different people, I didnt talk to any one from the Marines, he was out to lunch when I was there, I did talk to the Air Force & army, & the Coast Guard , but the Navy recruter was a cook & he got me to sign up that day, next thing I know I am at Great Lakes Navel Base, it is Feburary & the wind is about 20 mph, the snow is comming down at 3 inches per hour & the temp is all of 15F & I am shoveling snow at 2 am so we can march at 8 am in a parking lot the size of 5 football fields , that is when I woke up & realized I had been sold a BS story by the recruter & was Not going to enjoy the next 13 weeks ! hahahaha, But I did get over the shock of 88 guys in a barrecks , with 12 toilets & we were only allowed to use 2 of them, the rest were to be kept clean for inspections, . it was a FUN 13 weeks hahahaha
Enjoy, Vince
