pulled the trigger on this baby last night, along with a pound of 65% beads from heartfelt...

vicksburg 500 count, was considering putting down some serious coin on an avallo cabinet, but this will do the trick for a bit especially considering the price

WOW! Very nice humi! That should last you, oh, maybe a month until it's filled! :D

i got the mahogony, but that just may be the color, not sure what the outside wood is, interior is all kiln dried spanish cedar

i know, i know, is there no end?

I was looking at that very humi! Let us know if the wood is actually mahogany; I had the same question myself. At that price, it seems hard to believe it's not veneer/stain. Post some comments on its construction when you get it! Also, my other concern was the glass top; I've read that light is bad for your smokes. Should this be a big concern?

That's a nice one!

I was considering getting that one before I purchased the big boy!

i dont think so, i currently have been using a glass top, i like em b/c i have a tendency to constantly play with my humi/cigars, so the glass lets me look w/o touching, i just put it somewhere away from direct sun/lamp light

I can't wait to hear how this humi works out. I've been looking for something that will hold a few boxes with out having to buy a cabnet. This would be perfect for what I need for storage. Good luck with it. It looks great.

HighPSI have you calculated the amount of beads you will need? I think it should be a 1/3 of a pound. That seem right to you? Will you need to put some kind of fan it it, to move the air? I'm just curious, I find the mechanics of this stuff facinating.

the humi is real nice, spanish cedar, good seal, real mahogony as far as i can tell (i dont really know woods) but its not just a "finish" on the outside...

it only took about a day and a half to season too, i've got about 70 sticks in it now and its rock steady at 70 deg 65% at the top, bout 68% at the bottom...right now all i've been using is one of those circular "gel" humi things that you add distilled to and it raises/lowers humidity as needed, been workin fantastic, i cant say enough good things about it for the price..

i have beads on the way, havent calculated how much ill need yet...

That is really great. It looks like a good one. I need a bigger humi but am too darn cheap to buy one. I have two right now and a 50 count that I got with a taster bunch off of cigarinternational.com on the way. Maybe I will build a coolerdor.

Thanks for the updates, this thing looks like a fantastic deal! I think I'm convinced- now for the wife....

im thinkin of pickin up a second one soon just to have for the future in case the price goes up or if they run out...

That is a real nice piece of wood brother. Even if it isn't Mahogany it sure looks fine!!

Like everyone said, have fun filling it, and now you know you've got the madness!!
