New Humi on its way

The site says "Mahogany finish" which makes me think that it is probably a mahogany veneer plywood. Solid hardwood construction is rare these days as the plywood is often stronger, cheaper, and looks the same. Just to clarify, there is nothing wrong with a veneer construction and in many instances it is desirable. The only real drawback that I know of is that it is more suceptible to large quantities of moisture than solid construction. It sure is a nice looking humi. I may have to get myself one here before too long.

All the best,

Joe

ill try to take some real life pics of it tonight adn post them up...

If you can get a closeup of the grain and also of a corner joint on the bottom, it would probably help determine whether it is solid vs veneer and real vs stained. thanks
