That depends on what "highend" means to you. You could easily spend several hundred dollars. For me I find Nording pipes a real joy. This guy is great to business with.
I guess that is a rather subjective question. I'm looking to spend $200 - $300 max. I'll take a look at the sight and see if he has anything that sparks my interest.
Thanks,
Sam
I would look at http://www.iwanries.com to get an idea, or to buy. I have bought several pipes from them, great service and fast shipping. I agree with Eli, Nording are the BEST bang for the buck. I have a few myself, and my all-time favorite is a Nording Hunter 2003 whitetail. Good luck!
Ok. I know it's been a while, but I finally decide on a pipe maker, Mark Tinsky, talked to him, and I got my pipe yesterday. I've attached a link to the pictures that he took since I don't have a digital camera.
Beautiful. Makes me want to pick up pipe smoking even more now. Growing up my dad always smoked a pipe with bourbon flavored Borkem Riff (sp?) tobacco. I'm sure thats probably considered the Swisher Sweet of pipe tobacco but even that stuff smelled good.
