They're just not right. They use inferior tobaccos and cover that fact with a very crude infusion process. Not only that but they are the modern version of Macanudos in that they are marketed to new smokers who don't know any better but just want to look cool. Don't mean to offend but its the truth.
That said, my shop is having a Macanudo event on the 4th of March that I will most likely still attend, but only to talk cigars and put the rep in an uncomfortable position by asking why they choose to not use the most flavorful leaf in their cigars. I'll also be probably smoking a big honkin' strong maduro.
