Nice score! Whats the metal object? The humidification system?

Did it come with any cigars from 1935?

Looks like porcelin (sp?) for the inside that I intend on lining with spanish cedar. The metal thing is the original humidifier. I cant image in it is in working condition so I was going to pop that off and line the inside lid with cedar so it matches. Perhaps maybe even put a magnet behind the cedar for a humidifier. I am going to restain the outside. Right now there is a plate with initials on the lid. I will pop that off and replace it with a plate with my own engraving.

I am thinking I will use this to house a box of specialty cigars from a factory or something cool. Who knows.

From a collectors standpoint it would be worth more left untouched. Thats not to say it wouldn't make a damn kewl box fixed up.

Cheers!
Matt

I think I am going for family heirloom on this one. I have always wanted very nice, sentimental, humidor to pass on. I remember seeing this advertisment for Davidoff Humidors and it said "Your Grandson Will Thank You". Really got me thinking.

I still wanted to bid on that just to mess with you! But, I am glad you got it. Folks, that is ALL he talked about last weekend was this Dunhill humidor!

Congratulations Alex, a very nice find to be sure brother!!
