Its been raining here forever. Forever.

I wake up this morning with a kind person suggesting that I leave my apartment as the rising water(already pushing 5 feet in the basement) is pouring in from the stream a 1/4 mile away jumping bank. We are not talking leaking foundation. We are talking water coming through the door and then down the basement stairs.

Now thats enough by itself. But why stop right? Toss in a gas leak.

I love Mondays.

So, I return to my third world boat house after a day at work, looking forward to no potable water, and what do I find?

receding water and

THREE BOXES FULL OF CIGARS. The ups man left my blind test, and the usps nutter left the pif from acharpe and the box split from that 1 day deal...

all in all, not a bad day.

I wine about our cold winters, but they are nothing compared to your woes and yet you see the positive of the day....good on you. Hope things improve.

Sorry to hear your bad news, but glad to hear the good.
I always think that things are never has bad has they could be.
Keep your head up brother.

This rain is getting everybody a little moody. Maybe the drought finally broke. People in Kansas have been pounded this year. I Hope it gets better for you.

I have had to leave the lids open on my humidors because the humidity keeps getting above 80% if I don't. In one humidor I put in an old humidifier to see if it would pull out some moisture. It didn't work.

do you have beads? if not try em

I also tip my hat to you for looking at the positives in the situation. My best wishes to you for some good news concerning your apt and whatever else may have been submerged. Smoke them if you got them. 8)

Yeah, the rain here has been a bummer as well.... I have just a dish of uncharged beads and it barely keeps the humi below 70% i perfer 63%

Hope things turn around for you bdub.. Glad to hear you got the Camacho's. Please post what you think about them once you get to smoking one.

Dang Brandon! I'm sorry to hear about the flood. Thankfully at the end of the day there was a bright spot to lift you up.

I'll be praying for you.

steve

Brandon,

Very sorry to hear about the flooding and the tornadoes happening in Kansas. We'll all say a prayer for you & everyone there. Glad to see things are getting a little better. God Bless!!

wow that is some day! You said "apartment" so I can only assume you rent. Be happy you dont own given the water damage etc.

Brandon, I had no idea this was going on, I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers brother!!

Thanks everyone for all the support. it means a great deal to me.

Good news. lights and gas are back on. the pool/basement has been drained finally and finals are over in two days. life is good for sure.

And all in time for me to move to my new place.

It's good to hear that things are getting back to normal for you. Good luck with your next move brother.

By the way, chicks love indoor pools

That is a rough road! I am glad things are back to "almost" normal for you.
