That is what happened last week down by the beach in Ole Nags Head. The Family (Me) rented a Cottage/House for the week. The beverage of the week was a case of Beaujolais Nouveau. I must admit that it is a pretty good year for that particular bottling. For those of you who, like me , do not necessarily get the "correct" leaded crystal wine glass for the varritai you may be having. Pick up a bottle or two and enjoy this traditional holiday treat. Yes , alas the case is gone. The wine store is still stocked. l just may pick up a couple of bottles for next weekend.

I remember my first Beaujolais Nouveau. I've never been a big wine drinker and back in the early 1990's I had some and found it delightful. In 1994 I bought a couple of bottles and shared one of them with some coworkers in the datacenter while doing some some after hours tasks. This company was a startup, one of the founders kept a bottle of Bombay Sapphire in the freezer so the worst that would have happened is that I would have had to open the second bottle.

I concur. Delightful is a good word to describe 2005 vintage.

This year seems to be the best one in quite a few. Costco has it for $7.97 Georges Dubeouf, I purchased a case. I may have to purchase another one.
