Question about Cohibas

Did it have a white (off white really) and black label or a yellow and black label? If it was the latter then its a Monticristi Cohiba from the Dominican Republic which is a knock off off the Cuban version. If it still had the Red Dot colors it might have been a red dot from before the copyright suit. But I'd rule it a bad fake before that.

These are an imitation lacking any of the flavor or quality of the Red Dot or the true Habana. Stick with the Red Dot's, they're worth the price.

There are some "Cohiba's" out there that have the Cuban style band on them, and still say Dominican Republic. I had one, here is a link to an article I wrote, there should be a picture of it, it even came with the cuban style single box that says Esplendido's.

These are fakes, because the Red Dot's are the only dominicans that bear the Cohiba name anymore (to my understanding anyway.)

It doesn't mean they taste bad nescessarily (good luck with consistency), they just aren't what the band says they are.

I bookmarked the page for further study as I believe I have had a counterfit cuban lately.

I have a "COHIBA" with the yellow band, just WAITING for the box pass to get here.
