I'm heading down to a small theater tonight to see Rat Dog.
For those that don't know it is a band the Bob Weir plays in.
For those that don't know Bob Weir is from the Dead.
The other guitar player across from jerry Garcia.
I'm really looking forward to this as the Theater manager,
is a client of my wife & hooked us with good seats.
I can never have enough live music in my life & normally
don't get the time to attend shows as much as I'd like to.

Awesome Loren. I never got to see the Dead but would love to see Ratdog or Phil Lesh and friends.

Congrats and let us know how it turned out.

Loren ---

My mother was staying at a hotel near the Pittsburgh Airport about 10 years ago. She was on the elevator alone, it stopped on the next floor and this scungy hippy-ish looking guy got on. My mother clutched at her purse and was afraid she was going to be attacked/raped.

They got to the lobby, and the guy walked off --- my mother meekly got off the elevator and some girl asked my mother if she knew who it was she was on the elevator with. My mom said -- "I don't have any idea, but I was afraid I was going to be raped or robbed. The girl started laughing --- "Lady, that was Jerry Garcia"

My mother asked "WHO????"

"Jerry Garcia, the leader of "The Grateful Dead" one of the most popular bands -- they are playing tonight at Star Lake Ampetheater"

My mother told me the story and I dang near wet my pants laughing at her!

How was the show Loren? I have been dying to see Ratdog. I saw Phil and Friends over the summer and Trey Anastasio Sat in with him. It was a really good show.

The show Kicked BUT!

Lost Sailor Saint, Deep Elm Blues, Saint Steven & on & On!

Man I was shaking my tail feathers like there was no tomorrow.
I ran into a few friends I had not seen in a long time.

I used to be friends with Jerry & the band -
I've seen a lot of shows.
In the 80's I got free tickets to every show.
Jerry was such the nice guy - amazing musician.
He Loved to play but not the fame.
He always said music flowed through him & he was blessed to have it happen. He had a hard time with how people treated him.
Everyone was special to him!
It's been many years since those days.
Life, bills, wife - cigars!
You know!- but dancing is like riding a bike!
I am done today - this old man just ain't what he was.
Great TIME!
Except for the Crazy Chick my friend's invited.
She was rubbing all over my friends wife - I could deal with that.
She just wouldn't stop dancing on me.
I got a wife for that & she wasn't thinking it was funny.
I shook it off & danced.
I was there for the music, not some crazy drunk girl!
LOOK AT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - I'm all - Go Away!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next is Rail Road Earth Dec, 30th - not as good, but good!
