I had to do the same thing this week. It finally got warm enough to smoke outside, and we had some snow overnight, so I figured I would kill two birds with one stone so to speak.
I dug out the shovel, and fired up a CAO Brazil Pirahanna. Nice smoke, I am not good at flavors, but I would say burnt coffee and oak, with a bit of peppermint(?) it there too.
It got too cold to finish, so I just blew out the smoke and let it sit in my ashtray in the smoke house overnight.
Today, I just scraped the ash off and light it up. Faaaaannntassstic! All the flavors were still there, and as I finished it off, it just got better and better.
Soooo did freezing it overnight help this process? I do not know, but I know it tasted the same both days, and it was goood!
