Smoke Cigarettes?

mmm tasteless death sticks on sale!! better get while the gettin's good!!!

I did. Then I had a cigar and quit then and there. I was smoking quite a few cigars at first though. I still enjoy the smell of a lit cigarette but detest the smell after much more than a cigar. Though my car does smell a wee bit.

I never really got into cigarettes. Something about a cigar just seems more stately. Maybe it's the hobby or the comraderie.

I do smoke cigarettes. During work I do not have time to enjoy a cigar as I am in/out of my truck about every 5-7 minutes. I only smoke about 7-15 cigarettes a day.

How about some Minis or Club sizes? They helped me out when I first quit.

I tried a couple of times when I was in the Army years ago but couldnt stand the things.

Cigarettes are of the devil! LOL!

Seriously though, if it weren't for them my business would be much less.

I will say that cigarettes kill your ability to enjoy a cigar fully. I have been smoking cigars for 13 years now. For 10 of those years I was at a pack a day at the same time. When you kick the cigarettes you really start enjoying the nuances of cigars more and start really tasting them. I compare to to walking into a flower shop with vs without a cold. You take in so much more when you dont have a cold. For me it is a very close analogy.

Opus X Reserve D' Chateau. Great Cigar! Lots of cedar, dark chocolate, and thick, creamy smoke. I only hope that I can find a full box of these bad boys.

I smoked cigarettes a little in college and during my partying years at bars and clubs. I ended one night after I smoked a pack and a half along with including way too many other vices within that evening. My body told me the next day that I had to give up one of the vices; and I chose the cigs. I haven't had one since memorial day of '04.

I unfortunately smoke a pack per day. However, I can't have a cigarette at least an hour before or after a cigar because it just ruins it for me.

I smoke a half-pack a day or so... typically more on Fridays (since that's when the wifey and I go out pub crawlin' with friends). I can't stand the taste or smell of American cigarettes... never knew they smelled so awful until a trip up to Vancouver, BC, many years ago. Since then I stuck to Players Lights or Export As (if I couldn't find Players). Two years ago the wifey and I started making our own smokes (got one of those injector machines). Now that we make our own, we smoke Vanilla flavored light ciggies. We can make them ourselves for about $12 a carton; if these smokes were sold on the market they'd definitely be a super-premium brand (like Nat Sherman or something). Even non-smokers tend to like them -- say they smell like a cigar or a pipe.

I think it's funny that so many cigar smokers here look down upon cigarette smokers. As if cigars haven't also been proven to cause cancer or something. Lung cancer, oral cancer... choose your poison. I like my cigars, too, but I'm not going to judge someone while I've got a log stuck in my own eye. All smokers need to stick together and not let something like the type of smoke cause divides... it's like hunters who don't think someone should be allowed to own a handgun or "assault rifle" simply because they don't personally see the need for one. All of our smoking rights have been under attack for quite some time (same with firearms) and it won't be long before they come for anything that's "bad" for you.

Cheers,

~ Greg ~

I smoked cigarettes off and on in college, but never got in to it much. I don't smoke them now and never will again.

It kills me when people complain about cigar smoke as they sit there smoking a cig.
Seems like smokers should stick together.
I don't like Cig. smoke it has a harsh bite to the nose & eyes.
But I understnd the need to feed.

Funny story CC. Me and two buddys of mine had a guys night out about a month ago. It consisted of going to the local cigar shop and then a movie then to a sports bar. Now in the Dnver area you can't smoke inside anymore, but this bar had a patio outside that you could smoke on. well we lit up some cigars that we got at the shop and all the cigarette smokers complained and asked us if we wouldn't smoke our cigars. So needless to say we'll never go back to that place.
