Well my wife and I are planning a vacation. She wants it to be a fun sunny experience and I thought I could use this time to further my love for cigars and scope out some cigar hot spots. Luckily she is letting me plan the whole thing. I would like to visit a couple of factories, see some amazing cigar shops(here in san fran our shops are rather small) and hopefully get some cigar type tours. Any ideas? I am planning the trip around March or so. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that it doesn't have to be in the states.

thanks guys.

One suggestion might be Nassau in the Bahamas. You could go to the Graycliff Hotel and Resort. I believe you can visit their factory and probably partake of a few fresh-rolled cigars. You better bring your wallet because it's expensive.

If you want a beach and factory side by side you will have to go to either nassau or miami. All of the other countries like the RD and central america require full day or two trips to get to the factories.

Thanks guys. I was thinking of nassau but I hear its really expensive. Especially for the graycliff tour. I was thinking of Miami too. Any ideas as to where to do in Miami? Maybe a good hotel thats next to the cigar factory or relatively close.

There are some inexpensive places in Nassau and you can go to Graycliff for a day and it is not a budget killer. If you are going to go to Miami for vacation, the places with beaches and pools are far away from the factories. The two places you will want to visit are the La Gloria cubana factory http://www.cigarworld.com or El Rey de Los Habanos which is on the corner of 8th and 11th in little Havana.
