So Cal
I'm heading up to San Francisco today for tomorrow's graduation. Time to get my chef's toque 8)

I'll post if I haven't had too much to drink, but most likely I'll post when I return Sunday night

Have a great weekend everyone!

Great job on your accomplishment. Congrats Axe. Enjoy that Opus X "A" you were talking about.

I'm not sure what a toque is, but it definitely sounds like a good thing! Congratulations!

Party hardy and you should light up your celebratory smoke with a nearby creme brulee torch to further empasize your entry into the culinary world

Congratulations Anthony!!!!

Nice job my man - I know you worked your butt off for it.

Crongrats, brother!

I have a special cigar picked out for you. When I feel better and am able to come up to your restaurant, I'll bring it for you. Along with few more!

Congratulations Axegod, of all the creative professions one could choose, I think that a chef is definitely the most high pressure. from what I have read on these boards it sounds like you are well prepared. Once again congratulations and my best wishes to you.

Congrats! I bet it's nice to be finished. Hope you had a great time at the graduation. What did you smoke?

Thanks everyone, it was a weekend I'll never forget.

First off, a toque is basically a chef's hat.

Jeff, you're welcome anytime...as is everyone else for that matter.

I got in around 7PM Friday night and once I was able to buy a lighter I had a PSD4. Then I went to a pre-graduation party and according to the bands in my wallet I had an El Rico Habano Habano Club, and a Rare Corojo El Doble.

Saturday morning I had a PAN 26 No 35 on my walk to the civic center where our ceremony was held. When I went up on stage to receive my medal and diploma, one of my chefs noticed the Opus coffin sticking out of my pocket. He laughed and said "now that's a celebration cigar!" And yes it was, although I didn't find it as full bodied as some of the smaller sizes it did change flavor on me several times. It took around 2hr45min to finish. After that I did the tour guide thing with the family and enjoyed a Montecristo Edmundo followed by a VR Famosos.

Later that night at a post-graduation party I smoked a Diploma, BBF, and an Añejo Shark.

Sunday morning I smoked a Short Story while watching the Raider (more like the Ravens) game with my friends. After that I headed over to Berkeley to have lunch with my brother and we both enjoyed PAM 64 Exclusivos.

It was a great weekend spent with some great friends, great smokes, and family...and it was actually warm in San Francisco!

Wow axe! You sure had a great time! And now have lots of space in your humi as well!

Congrats again!

And how about a pic of yourself in your new toque.

Way to go Tony. We're all very proud of you for your accomplishments. That and we're all excited that we have found the chef for next year's Amback cigar sitdown.

Thanks guys. I'll post a picture once I get the disc from my mom.
