What Havana did you smoke today?

It was just O.K. Not to much going on. It was very smooth and creamy but lacked the complexity of a Havana, could be the age on it. The strength started mild but came to a med-full end. Very little to no after taste to it. I had some issues with it going out, but I think that comes from me smoking it straight off the truck  (yea, I am that guy!)
But for the price we got em at....WONDERFUL!

Nothing wrong with smoking it right off of the truck - I do it all of the time. Some wiseguy from PA who likes to go fishing taught me that one. It's a good way to see experience the changes that age does to the cigars.

It'll be nice to revisit in a few months I'm sure.

This afternoon I am smoking an RA Bellicosa gifted to me by Craig. This was supposed to be a smoke last Sunday to honor my dad's passing 3 years ago. A trip to the ER with my daughter (sprained wrist) postponed it by a few days. What a fantastic way to pay tribute! Thank you Craig, this cigar is TREMENDOUS!

My Pleasure buddy, glad you enjoyed it!

Yesterday I wanted something small, so I went with a POR LARANAGA PANETELA from 06. I was actualy impressed with this little guy. Very tastey and smooth. Great bang for the buck smoke!!!

Today I had a PARTAGAS CHARLOTTE from 01. This smoke packs just a wonderful flavor, soething you would expect from a larger smoke. I thouroughly enjoyed it!!!

My habanos for the day were:

JP Cazzadore - love 'em on the course - I am keeping a humidor at the club just filled with JP's.

Sancho Panza Belicoso '03 - a GREAT, great smoke - I wasn't paying that much attention to it - I plan to smoke it while relaxing one afternoon to note the different flavors. It really was a smooth cigar.

Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme 04. I found it earthy with coffie flavors but lacked complexity and flavor also very little aroma.

Yea, i was really pumped about smoking it after reading some reviews, but I did not get that much out of it.
Darn, i guess I will just have to try again!

I smoked a RASCC (TEB Jul 07) last night...The first third started off with a nice mellow mixture of flavors as it progressed into the 2nd third the draw became tighter but the flavors seemed to stay consistent with the first third, but weren't as harsh as the first third...finally, the last third's draw was even tighter than the 2nd's...i still thought the flavors and everything made it a great smoke, i wish it wouldn't have been so hard to draw on it though!

Smoked a Partagas Pres and a PSP2 last night. The psp was off the chain while the pres was simply good. Both were paired with a couple different bourbons over a great evening hanging with some mooks.

Sunday night I smoked a PSD4. It was a great smoke with that trademark spiciness but has mellowed out nicely over the past year. Last night I had an H. Upmann Monarca from a 2000 box code. It was very smooth with hints of pepper underlying a cedary core.

04 is just about to start - I'd be patient! (5 years is where is gets GOING!)
If you have another maybe either drop or raise the RH a little from where they are stored.
Maybe the break from that pattern will show a little somtig somtig :D
(I'm just talking about one cigar a few hours before smoking it?)

I have been on a petite corona thing lately.

Today I smoked 06 PLPC as well as Bolivar PC.

General impressions are that 2006 is a good/great year for habanos.

I wholeheartedly agree - 06 has been great. I am also enjoying a few 07's.

Today I smoked a Punch Royal Selection #12 from 2000.

It started off real nice and I really enjoyed the fitst half. It had lots of creamy smoke and a nice floral aroma. I should have put it out at the half way point. The second half had burn issues. Though I didn't have to relight, the wrapper and ash were a dark gray color with the wrapper acting as if it did not want to burn. The draw got really tight in which I had to open up to continue. I will try one again in a couple of weeks to see what happens.

I had to go to the far office yesterday and had a long ride home; so I made sure I had a cigar for the ride home. I had a JLP Cazadore. It is such a great bang for the buck cigar. I am so glad i have a bunch more. Great flavor and good burn.

I have had a couple of clunker cigars lateley that have been well aged but did not taste right(non cubans); and this one just made me happy. Whenever I have a couple of bad tasting cigars in a row I get worried that my taste buds have changed and I will not get another stick that I like. This one helped me assure myself that I still have good taste. :p
