What Havana did you smoke today?

I just smoked a Partagas Chico Cello for lunch. Tons of nice flavors in this cigarillo sized cigar. Lasted a full 30 minutes. This box is fresh ROTT!!!! Hasn't been in my humidor for 24 hours yet and smoked perfect.

I just finished a Partagas Short (petit corona) from SEP07. Not a bad little cigar. Tasted a little like root beer and strong coffees. Irregular burning a few times but it corrected itself.

In my limited experience with aged cigars, i would say that this one needs another 6 months to a year in the humidor before I smoke another one.

Last night I had an 01 Partagas Lusitania. Men (and AubrEy and Rob) this was one of the finest cigars I have ever had. Whats amazing is that everytime I have one I like them even better than before. Words simply are not enough to describe just how fantastic this cigar was. Sadly it was my last one...haha! Such is life. I will most definatly have to have a box of these some day soon. :mrgreen:

I smoked a San Cristobal Principe a couple nights ago and thought the flavors were nice although I was getting very pissed at how tight the draw was, it started loosening up a bit, but not enough to keep me smoking it past halfway...wish i had another one of these to re-visit in a couple months

I plan on trying to get in a Cuaba Exclusivo tomorrow and maybe a PSP2 on Sunday. I have a ton of school work to try to finish in the next week so I'll need a break for sure.

What are you going to do with all the NC you are getting from the box pass? How much longer is you NC test going for?

I will still smoke NC. In fact they are about 7/8 of my collection. Some of my favorite smokes are NC like Padron 64s and illusiones and a few CAO's. I'm curious to see the taste difference, and to do that, i need to "clense my pallet". I don't know if it will work or not but I shall see.

Tom, I think I will smoke about 6 or 7 more habanos before I try a NC. At the rate I'm going, no telling how long it will take.

I smoked a HDM Du Marie (right Rob??? Mook) last night. It is a minuto about 25 min smoke. It had the typical HDM flavors but something weird happened while smoking it. It felt like the roof of my mouth and my bottom lip were numb, like when you spray chloraseptic (throat spray) in your mouth when you have a cold. I have never experienced this before. Anyone have that happen or know what may have caused it? I have a few more left and am curious to see if they do it too.

I want to say it was a punch royal selection that I got a hot cinnimon flavor from. I know for sufe it was a habano, I'm not 100% sure. I got a tingling senation under my tongue but I wont go as far as to say it was numbing like you decribed last night. In fact, I quite enjoyed the tingling. I do however, fully believe your theory from last night regarding the numbness.

All joking aside, maybe the amonia level is pretty high in that box. Chris Guinther could probably tell you more about this, but maybe they need some more time. I have heard of the "sick period" but couldn't tell you if I have ever experienced that or if it is even viable. Is there an odor Connor? You said last night it was a single? If it was a single, no way to tell if the whole box is like that.

AHH, yes that "theory" Lord I hope I aint right like usual!
I would have to assume the other 4 have have were from the same box.

i just smoked a Monte Especial No. 1 from 2002...it was a great smoke, it mellowed into the middle third and was overall a great smoke (i didn't concentrate too hard on my palate as I was talking with my roommate)....i've got 2 left, can't wait to let them rest another little while in the humi!!

I had a psp2 last night that was simply wonderful.

I started the day with a Diplomatico 2, then the RG Corona extra (talked Barco into smoking one) and finished off with a Monte Petit Edmundo (I still curse you Chris Guinther for getting me addicted to those.) A great cigar day for me. I will be smoking a ton over the next 5-6 days - if you see smoke coming from OC, Md - yes, that's me.

Hey Kevy, my folks live right down the road from OC. Hope your having fun. Whatever you do dont eat at the Bayside Skillet... :shocked:

I just packed all 3 of my travel humidors - 37 cigars in all. I am stoked.

I had a HDM des dieux last night. This was one of the best smokes I have had in a while. Very satisfying!
