What Smokes Did You Buy Today?

I ordered through Cigar.com

Ashton Maduro Pyramids - I blame you Wolfdaddy
Camacho Corojo Monarcas - I blame you Razorking
a couple of Diplomas - I blame the whole damn lot of you
Sancho Panza Double Maduro Cervantes - I must blame myself - just something to try.

I will have a tough time waiting for those diplomas and Monarcas!

:rotflmao:

As for me, just ordered a box of

Yesterday, I visited one of the local cigar shops and as I was shopping, the owner opened the shipment he received that day and pulled out boxes of the CAO CX2s. I had been looking forward to them, so I bought some in the 3 sizes--robusto, belicoso, and toro. I have smoked one of the belicosos and one of the robustos and they were definitely worth the wait.

Today, I took the LSAT and as a treat to myself, I bought a couple of the Fuente 8-5-8s. Ashton is doing a promotion here on Saturday and CAO is doing one on the 20th. I can't wait. :D I'll have to smoke a lot the next few weeks so I can empty the humidor a bit--or just buy another one. Luckily, my birthday's in a couple of weeks so I can justify this.

I have a birthday coming up soon, too. Sounds like there's a lot of cigar related excitement down your way. Kind of like a cat in a smokehouse full of salmon.

Hmmm - found something new - Don Bienve 1981 Limited Reserve - I'll be trying them tomorrow when I get back home from Puerto Rico! I'll let you know how they turned out...

Cybrus, is that the cigar I told you about in the post about Ron Del Barrilito wherein I was lamenting about the current state of Puerto Rico? I smoked a bunch of those a few years back. They were great. I cannot find their web site anymore. I believe I did mention them on that post. If you can find them, tell us more, including price. I'd love to get my hands on another box or two before Puerto Rico sinks into the Caribbean from all the cement they're laying down there.

Okay folks, here you go. Yahoo is sponsoring their web site now, as Puerto Rico's wonderful agricultural paradise, once the talk of the world, is being gobbled up by concrete laying "developers." As noted, the filler is from the 1981 crop. If I remember correctly, the wrapper was actually grown in Pennsylvania.

Okay, where'd I get that idea about Pennsylvania grown wrapper? I know some Puerto Rican cigars did have Pennsylvania grown wrapper, but perhaps not this one. Trust me, these Don Bienve Limited Reserve cigars will not disappoint.

Thank you Cybrus, for the reminder. I just ordered a five pack of the Churchills. I used to order these several years ago, and went looking for the web site again about three years ago, and could not find anything on it. I see they have been revived again. Hopefully, this company with these fine cigars, made with tobacco from Puerto Rico, once one of the world's major tobacco producers, will hang on. Anyone out there who doubts what I say about Puerto Rican tobacco, ask Carlito Fuente about Puerto Rican tobacco.

I agree with ya, sir. The CX2's are quite good. Finally found a decent (not great, but decent) cigar shop here in Norfolk, and they had a box of the beli's so I picked up a couple.

Bloof - yes, you were the inspiration for me to look for those while I was down there - just got back from the island this evening. I picked up two 5-packs of the robusto size and I'll let you know what I think when I've smoked one...

I was going to send a few up your way, but now that you've located my secret source, guess I don't have to - more for me I guess!!

Also picked up a few bottles Barrilito 3-star - can't get that here - as well as a Brazo Gitano and some Carla's guava snacks...

I'm excited!

Yeah, I used to order Churchills direct from Don Bienve's web site. It seems as though they put the web site back up, but when you go to order, it bounces you to a Yahoo! page. Thanks for the reminder, I thought they were gone forever. I can't wait to smoke them again. And now you've got me hankering for some pasta de guayaba. Thankfully, NYC has loads of places to find many different brands, all good. When you run out of the rum, if you're ever in NYC, there are a few places to get Ron Del Barrilito, or you can order it from Binny's and a couple other web sites.

Picked up some Padron 6000's and an Ashton MAduro today - smoked one of each - also got a bunch of sticks from Scott - too many to list!

Check out Wolfie making the nice purchase

In a few days I'll have a box of  to add to my cabinet.

hehehe

I had a RASS in Chicago...I mooched it from my brother in law...very tasty.

I also ordered a Mini Xtend a little while ago. It'll be nice to have a lighter that works.
