What's the strongest cigar you've encountered?

I'd have to say the La Flour Dominicana double ligero. I smoke the 600's all the time, but when my local shop only had the bigger Churchill size left, we'll lets just say that extra 2 inches was almost over the top.

I have to agree...almost over the top...but right there

oooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh I am changing my answer. Padilla 1932 all the way. Very strong and full flavored.

I have heard to El Cobre is strong, but I find it to be just the right amount it has great flavor and I get a little buzz.

I smoked an Opus X I think was 7" long not sure which one. I had been running around all day for my friends wedding (I was the Best Man). After we packed all the tables and chairs we went over to another friends house. We were all starving and chowed down on Chinese. After we jumped in the hot tub and smoked cigars. I smoked an Opus X and it was smooth, but everyone elese was going in and I was still smoking. They went in and I was puffing faster then I should have. I get dressed and then tolled my wife "I don't feel so well" we get home and I puked up my dinner in the toilet. Man hot and sour soup looks the same coming out as it did going in. I just will not puff so hard next time.

Since so many people have talked about the dipolmas, I have two in my box yet to smoke.

EO 601 Connecticut is pretty strong. For me personally, I'd say it was a Cuaba in London when I was 16. Knocked me out cold!

a little to much detail...

Is there such a thing as a strong light bodied cigar? Or is it strictly limited to heavier cigars?

Why are you squeamish? :D

A White Owl green apple.........however, it may have just been the cigar that made me puke, not the strength

For me it was a Tatujae Tainos. I was high for about 35 minutes after it. I didn't want to smoke a cigar for about 4 days after that.

wow. i can't imagine being that beaten up by a cigar. i probably wouldn't smoke that thing ever again if it put me off of stogies for that long

I just gotta say, I LOVE THIS THREAD! There are a couple of cigars mentioned here that I haven't tried. Great. Now, I have to go run out and buy these.

I have had a couple that really went to my head. Its kind of funny how it happens because they normally hit me hardest when its been a stressfull day in which I havent eaten right or something like that. I smoked an Opus X Fuente Fuente on Monday in rememberance of a good friend that we had just put to rest earlier that day. Man that thing sat me down! I just sat there on the front porch in my chair in a daze for about an hour afterwards. lol!

That's exactly why I love smoking an Opus or something of similar strength right before a nice hot night shower and sleep. Nothing beats it. Soooooo incredibly relaxing...

Yeah I was really hoping that this thread would give me something new to smoke outside of the Camacho and Antano that I already knew were fairly strong. I didn't know there were so many more though.

I'll be bookmarking this thread as a survival guide. As in: what not to smoke before your wife is about to drag you around for a long day of Christmas shopping.

Had my first OpusX this past weekend, along with a half pot of Starbucks Christmas Blend...

The combination left me in a strange nic-semi-coma on the couch, in front of the fire, listening the Christmas carols and being unable to muster the strength to move even though I was wide awake.

JdN Antano, young Diploma's, and the biggest nic buzz I have had was an pre production El Cobre essentially fresh off the table.

I love a good azz kicken once in a while.
