WIN A BOX, CIGAR REVIEW CONTEST

I just wanted to let you know that I did receive the sample cigar. However, I prefer to let my sticks sit in my humidor for about 2 weeks prior to smoking. I like to get the PH to a perfect 68%. I will send my review immediately after enjoyment.

Bunchdouglas,
Mine was in great condition as delivered in the ziplock bag. Please make an exception and submit your entry as soon as possible. Cigarsmoka originally stated that the winners entry would be used on their website. He also stated that the cigar may be available in 30 days or so and that was back on March 10. How is everyone else comming on their reviews? Lets not abuse this opportunity to participate with cigar.com on this new release. No offense intended to anyone, I'm just excited to see the reviews and find out who is selected as the winner.

Okay, everyone who has not recieved one yet...I'll resend one today and give a tracking number... I don't know what's going on. I'll have them released without without signatures, if for some reason that is a problem.

I believe the Colonel is the only one left who I haven't reshipped...So I'll get it out today...

Review emailed!

Thanks for sending me the cigar to try! Let me know if I can help again.

Okay, The Colonel, I didn't get you email...could you please send the review again?

Gid'day:

FYI - No sign of the cigar as of late today.

If you need to post the reviews in the next couple of days - no worries....I'm sure it is stuck at customs. No big deal.

If it shows up - great.

Thank you for the contest offer and I'm sure everyone enjoyed their cigar. Thanks again for the offer - much appreciated.

Jimmer

Any other reviews not in by Monday 9:00 am Central Standard Time, I'm sorry, but we are going to pick a winner and post all of the reviews.

Jimmer. I'm sorry sbout that...I tried my best to see that you got your stick, it shouldn't have gotten stuck, hopefully next time.

Okay. Pretty soon we'll pick a winner, and post the reviews.... :D :D

This is a hard choice. Now it's come down to two...

Since it was such a hard decision, The Colonel was in a close second and will be awarded 10 Sol Cubano Sumatra Torpedo's as a runner up (since you love that stick).

Here are the Other reviews as I recieved them:

This cigar has top rate construction, with an oily and veiny dark wrapper. Nice, solid cap that cut perfectly.

This cigar starts out with a very pleasant tobacco taste, and produces clouds of smoke.

As it smokes down, an Indian Tea/coffee flavor presented itself. The cigar stays mild and creamy throughout. No harsh or bitter taste to be found. Very light earthy flavors were tossed into the mix as it burned about half way down, and the tea is ever present. Then, along came the nut taste, pine nut/pecan. I like it.

This cigar smoked effortlessly throughout, and if Heaven has an aroma, this just may be it.

The finish had a blend of the flavors, and was none too timid about it.

This is a well thought out cigar and it doesn't hesitate to show it. I implore, nay, beseech upon one and all to have this cigar. No doubt, it will make your regular rotation.

Danli Reserve

Beautiful wrapper with a nice oily sheen. Not too veiny and firm to the touch. It had a nice cap and was packed well (didnt notice any soft spots). Pre-light aroma reminded me of a Padron (I might just have to smoke one of those next).
The cap cracked a little upon cutting most likely due to using a punch. The pre-light taste was earthy, like a Sancho.

It started off a little uneven but only needed > of an inch to correct itself. Had a great draw that produced copious amounts of smoke. Had notes of leather, toasted marshmallow, and dark chocolate with a little spice on the finish.

I would say it was a medium bodied smoke which developed nicely as it progressed.

The aroma was intoxicatingno doubt one of the focus points in crafting this beauty. I would pay 4-5 dollars for this one, and I may very will pick some of these up in the near future.

First, the construction was very good. It was a nice, dense cigar. By that I mean you felt like you had a cigar that was "full", yet not overpacked. It didn't have a "loose" feel to it. I like cigars like that. The cap cut nicely and did not pull apart. The foot lit well and burned slightly uneven, but that is the only negative thing I have to say about the cigar. As far as the body goes, the cigar started out very mild, with a slight sweetness detected in the draw. About halfway through the cigar it started to become more medium bodied. Never was there a bitter taste of any kind during the smoke. From the midpoint to the finish there was a spiceyness that increased. Ligero-type tobacco was detected; and felt! This cigar tasted like it is a combination of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers based on the flavor. My overall impression of this cigar is "Very Good", or to put it another way, I'd give it an "8 out of 10" rating.

upon carefully opening the package, with enough bubble rap to withstand ANY possable situation, i discovered a perfect cigar. did not measure, but apeared to be about 6 1/2" or 7" long and maybe 54 ring torpedo. and it was flawless. i reached over my cutters, past the sciccors and grabbed a new razor blade. i cut it as perfect aspossable. i lightly toasted it, while slowly rotating, after it was light, i carefully blew on the lit end, then blew out any chance of butane before taking the first light draw. it looked, lit, and smoked well. a cigar to impress all onlookers, however, i noticed a taste i hadnt tasted in a year or 2. I believe it is what is referred to as "tea" whatever it was, i didnt like it! I continued smoking, and remembered where i tasted this before, it was a punch. not sure which one, but not their top cigar. regardless of this particular unwanted taste, it was still good. it had other flavors, and lots of it. at about 3" in, i tried to remove the ash, it was still hanging tight and remained in one 3" perfect salt and pepper ash. i beleive i could of smoked entire cigar and had ash intact, as a complete cigar. i hated the tea like flavor, but loved the rest enough to smoke to my fingertips. it did run a little and started to canoe towards end, and torch wasnt effecting it in any way. i would be hard pressed to find a cigar that looked and smoked better than this, regardless of slight canoeing, but the flavor is not what i like. it was not at all harsh, not stale or bitter, and had plenty of flavor, so would still recomend it, as i can still apreciate it. and will try again, but will not be ordering any bundles

A beautiful torpedo with very nice construction, reminiscent of the famous MonteCristo #2. This Cigar draws extremely well and produces billows of smoke! The cigar started off with a spice to it and then smoothed out with woody earthy tones. Overall an enjoyable cigar.

that cigar started off pretty good, about an inch down it refused to burn correctly. i got it going right a couple times more but after that it tasted like a marlboro red unfiltered. i didnt burn it up, i just cut off the large piece that didnt burn and blew on it till it was burning right. right now im thinking that cigar was a joke or somthing!! my head is now spinning.

"Great cigar, this particular one was a little longer than I usually smoke but I stayed with it till the end. The flavor was mild and very smooth with a spicy taste. Nice firm body. It had an easy draw from start to finish. Nice slow even burn with a fine gray ash."

Thanks again everyone for participating....

tea, hmm, yea that kindof fits what it tasted like. not my cup of "tea" at all. i have another one from the cotmc, ill give it ONE more try.
