Sunday night was my birthday dinner, even tho my birthday wasn't til Thursday. Dad grilled up some steaks, and my girlfriend (soon to be fiance), my brother and his wife, and my aunt came to eat and stuff. It was a nice quiet evening. I smoked an Opus X I'd been saving for the occasion. Monday I don't remember what I smoked, and Tuesday was cigar night at the smokeshop here. There had to be 100+ people crowded into this small shop, smoking, drinking and having a good time. There was a raffle, but I didn't win anything. Ashton Cabinet was the featured cigar...I had one of those, then a Rocky Patel Edge maduro. Bought myself a few Hemingways and a Punch Rare Corojo El Doble. Met some cool guys.
Wednesday night my girl and I made calzones for dinner and spent some good quality time together. Had one of the Hemingways on the way home from her house. Thursday was my actual birthday. Got a cake from some people at work, but other than that nothing special happened.
This afternoon I went down to the jewelry store and paid off the engagement ring I'll be putting on my girl's finger pretty soon. They have to size it and I'm going to pick it up Monday afternoon. After I did that I went down to the smokeshop to hang out with my new cigar buddies. Had a RyJ Churchill en Tubo. Yummy. After we got kicked out we migrated to this place in town called the Patio Restaurant. There's a nice outdoor area where smoking is allowed. Had a Cuesta-Rey Centenario No. 60 maduro. Ate dinner, then finished off with a Padron '26. My first of these lovely smokes...Pricey, but very good. On the way out, one of the guys handed me an 858 maduro from a box he has in the trunk of his car. Then I came home and here I sit.

I'm all cigarred outfor the evening.

Glad to hear you had a good time bro. How was the Opus?

:birthday:

I am rather exhausted...believe me.

Teh Opus was yummy. It didn't stay lit at first, so I set it down for a while in the open air. Relit after a half hour or so and it stayed lit, although the burn was a bit ragged. Not too bad tho...very good smoke.

:birthday: :birthday: Happy Birthday Wolf! Glad to hear you had a great time. Hope you have a great remainder of the weekend!

Regards,
Paul

Happy Birthday Wolf!!

Looks like you had a great week. Hope the next year is just as good for you.

Yeah, I'm exhausted and I feel like I lived it with you.

:birthday: :wine: :birthday:

Except for one thing. You're a few months older than me. My birthday's not until October.

:cryinlaugh: :neer: :neer: :neer: :sm_angel:

And congratulations. May death do you part. My prayers and The Lord's blessings go with you both.

Thanks guys

Bloof...I thought you were one of the old guys. :p

Wolfdaddy got me going. I'm on the last half of possibly the best Hemingway I've ever had, a Classic size, 7x48. I just couldn't resist. He was right. It was the right time to smoke a Hemingway. 31 years out of high school, three years and five years after my two worst asthma attacks, yup, the night was right for a Hemingway Classic.

It's all Wolfdaddy's fault, he done did it. :sm_angel:

Yes, Happy birthday Wolfdaddy!! What a night!! Does your girl know you're going to be proposing, if not, how are you gonig to do it?

teehee

I'm actually only 22, so that would make you older than me, Bloof.
I am not sorry for getting Hemingways on your mind either...they're just too dang good. :D

smoka...she knows I'm going to propose, but she doesn't know when. Truth be told, I don't know when either. I still have to have The Talk with her dad, but he's in and out of town all the time and he never announces when he's gonna be home. He just shows up whenever.

Here's the ring...I had a helluva time getting a good pic, and this is about the best I could do...

she's worth it...believe me.
