About a month ago I had ordered some cigars from Cigar.com. I came home to find one of those "signature required" cards on the doorknob. No biggie, I've had those before. The next day I was home when the FedEx guy came by. He said that if I fill out the back of the card to give them permission, they'll leave any package in the future on my steps without a signature. I did, and wrote on the card for them to leave any future packages by the "side door".
Wouldn't you know it. Came home yesterday to find the dreaded "signature required" card on the doorknob! The real kicker was they had actually wrote "side door" on the card itself before placing it on the doorknob!
At first, I was upset that they couldn't leave the package, but then I thought of something: I realized that we have guys in various parts of the world that may not get their package(s) at all. I know first hand that the mail doesn't run all of the time for the guys that really need a little boost of morale. After thinking of those guys for a few minutes I thought to myself, "I think I can wait another day."
