I am right there with you! I have the WORST allergies to cats.

No cats, I repeat, no cats. My wife sneezes when she just sees a cat. I am sure that my yellow lab would have a lot of fun with it, up until the part when he kills it and I have to clean up the mess. Just the thought of shampooing blood out of my dogs fur disturbs me. That dog will go after and destroy any small animal he can get his paws on. Everything except for a possum. There was a possum living undr my deck that I wanted Cody to try and get out (yes he has had his rabies shots), and he just wouldn't do it. He will chace rabbits and squirls to his death, but he will not go after possum.

And for those in the stadium who need scientific clarification and professorial explanation of everything in life, it's just . . .

besides the fact that is what Wolfie's kitties remind me of, it's basically, . . .

my shtick, semi-Vaudevillian, nonsensical drivel, quirky, humorously irreverent, completely dumb crap. :bolt: :cryinlaugh:

I had a 15 pound orange striped tom cat, called him Chip, ( as a chip off the old block ) , Do you think your Lab would have a change with him ?, well I saw this guy in action with a raccoon, , the coon was just a little bigger than him, ( 18 pounds when we took him to the taxideremest ) , well what was left of him any way !, I never saw a cat tear up anything like that , it was like he was Tarzan & the raccoon was a croc , he got behind him & went for the throat ! , then he started to drag the dead raccoon tward the back deck to bring it home to show us what he did, he was always bringing things home , then one day he took on a dump truck ! SPLAT !
he didnt like to come in the house, he was an outdoor soul, even when it was zero out he would stay out as long as you would feed him & give him water, he was happy, he did come in a few times but wanted right back out when he had explored the area , in the summer he would stay under the deck in the shade, he was the KING in the area, lots of little bright orange kittens in the area !
Enjoy, Vince

Well, as fast as Cody is, his owner is very strong when holding a lease and has never let him get to the point of no return of the the object of his eye. The only thing i ever let him go after was that old possum he never wanted anything to do with. One night he nearly pulled my arm off. Once he got one step out of the door he bolted like he has never had before. He pulled my out of the dorrway and into the shrubs. I still held on and was glad that I did. The critter that he fancied was a skunk in the neighbors driveway less than 20 feet from my front door. Good thing the lease is only 15 feet long. If Cody had tusseled with that one he would have been sleeping outside that night and likely the whole week.

You probably would have had to shave him, too. :cryinlaugh: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :cryinlaugh:

One of my Daughters Cats got sprayed one time, got some stuff from the vet, & gave her a bath, ( the cat not the kid) hahaha , she didnt like the water of course, but when we shampooed her, dammmm what a fighter, I was cut clawed & bloodied from elbow to wrist on both arms ! but after a few minutes she settled down to just hissing at me, it took a few weeks before she would come near me again, even for a piece of liver !, it was fun , but now that I am older I am kind of glad I dont need to clean up or take care of a pet, my wife has her hands full taking care of me ! I do miss having a dog or a cat in the house, but now is not the time for a pet in our lives , my nephews & grandsons all have pets, so I can go there & feed the mutts & tease the cats any time I want ! Enjoy, Vince

Bathe a dog? No problem. Bathe a cat? That's why they invented washing machines*.

Seriously though, I don't know if I would be willing to bathe our cat without getting her declawed first...

Not quite a washing machine but my sister had a kitten that hopped up into the dryer in between loads. We searched all over and couldn't find her. Then when the laundry came out of the dryer, out came a little limp fluff ball with it. One of those things that's both extremely sad but still just a wee bit comical.

I've got a cat. It was "found" by my son when he was a freshman in college. (he's a senior now) He said that the kitten wondered up 3 flights of stairs onto his dorm floor where most of the baseball team was housed. They decided to take care of it and it wound up in his room. Upon finding this out during a visit, we strongly suggested that he get rid of the kitten, as there is a $50 fine for having pets in his dorm room. Well, a couple days later he did get rid of the kitten. He showed up at our house with...the kitten! It's been with us ever since!

I had a cat in college. It was kinda cool, but mostly a PITA. I hated the smell of the litterbox in my bathroom. My roomate has it now.
