cigar humidors

I removed the humidor from the dark room its kept in, and saw this. How much of an issue is this? Can it be cleaned out, and what should be used? Or is this a once its there its always going to be an issue? John R

Is it important whether or not the humidor has a glass lid or not? My local cigar store expert says to not purchase one with glass. Is it better to have the hygrometer on the front or in the humidor? Thank you.

Honestly otside of getting smokes, which most of the ones I smoke are in a locker at the cigar store, I open my personal humidors maybe 2x per month. Normaly I only open them if I am putting in new smokes to age. I open it minimum of 1x per month to rotate.
