Just looking for some new brands to check out and sticks to smoke. I have smoked a fair amount of different brands. I like medium to full smokes no mild. Just looking for some recommendation.

A friend gave me a very awesome gift today. It's the Xikar Mayan 3D cutter.

I usually buy five or more, but if you don't like the cigar that means you have four more to get rid of. Lately, I've been buying singles or two or three unless the price is attractive for a larger amount(usually a recommended cigar). So what do you do or recommend ?

I have yet to smoke one, but I do have a robusto and a churchill in stock.

I am just curious if you have a preferred cutting method. I have been doing one for the past few months that's pretty enjoyable to me. I use my Opinel No. 8 knife and do a criss-cross cut that opens up like a double v of sorts. Here's an image:

I have kept a spreadsheet of almost every cigar I have smoked since 2007, and the grand total is 797. Not bad for a guy that can only really smoke 9 months of the year. (The other three are just to darn cold, and I cannot smoke in the house).
