Homemade Humidor

A desktop or a walk-in. If you needs help with a walk-in, I can give you pics of mine.

ooh, lets see your walkin, you build yourself? fiancee and i will be buying or building a house in a lil over a year and im considering converting a room in the basement to a walk in humi/wine/smoking room...you contract the job out to anyone in particular, are there companies that specialize in this sort of thing?

I built it myself. The only thing I didn't do is the electric but my cousin is an electrician so he did it. As far as the door, I had to have it custom made and hung, but a good friend is a master finish carpenter so he helped me. Actually, I shouldn't call it a walk in. It is a built-in. it is 28x28 and 8 foot tall. It is lighted, and the humidifier is also on a switch. I will post some more pics soon.

awesome, i've got a buddy who's an excellent electrician i was gonna have help with it too

It will be mine oh yes it will be mine. :bow: Good thing i use to be a commercial carpenter. I knew that job would come in hady some day. And I love the wine cooler thats what will sell my girl on it. :wine: did anybody notice the motion detecter in the corner. I would definatly have a security alarm on a stash like that. :cop: maybe and armed guard. hehe

On that particular project, I believe that the motion sensor was just to turn on the lights when the door opens... but not a bad idea for security if you are going to have a fortune in smokes in there...

That guy doesn't really smoke. He's a "celebratory" smoker and just collects them. Its a very nice humidor, but a waste of money in his case IMHO.

Capt, it's not the size or quality of workmanship that matters... It's what you do with it! None of us here smoke celebratory, so come on, show us some pics!
