Christmas One Day Deal

How do I say no to such a great deal? I've been wanting to try the Danli and Graycliff but I have a bunch a bundle of the Gurkha's and Perdomo's. What to do, what to do? The Gurkha is a fabulous smoke.

Tanger... if it helps you justify it, the cost of 5 graycliffs at 18 a pop would be the same cost as the entire package. So consider yourself buying those, then it is like the other stuff is free :D

Mac, I had this thought even before you posted. I guess it is true. Brilliant minds do think alike.

Mac:

Your logic pushed me over the edge - I just ordered mine!

This deal is way too good to pass up.

You guys are evil. Just when I was like I can't buy any more because of space, you come out with a humidor package. Dam I am weak willed.

SWEET!!!! Mine arrived today. What a great deal!!!!!

I was going to give the jar humidor as a gift - I may just keep it.

Yours came today? I looked on the website and mine hasn't even shipped yet  . I guess ordering them at 12:40 Am didn't make them come here any faster :)

so when will yall have the buy one box of el cobre get one free friday deals? lol

Mac:

Yeah, I am in NJ - we get things the next day from cigar.com.

Yeah I got mine just now. Oh that all look so nice. I can't wait to smoke them drool drool. :D

I think I remember reading on the forum that the Gurka legend should sit in the humidor for awhile? If this is correct how long.

Cheers
martin

The Gurkha Centurian is what came in that package, not the legend. The Centurian is nicer. Still I find they are better after a few months.

Too good to be true...

I got mine the other day and 3 of the Gurkhas had nice, long cracks at the foot - about an inch long each. This seems to be a recurring problem with either Cigar.com or UPS (the latter being removed from my Christmas card list for sure).

It really only adds to the misery of having an order stolen (give a shout out to UPS) off my porch earlier in the week and receiving an entirely different order with a handful of cracked sticks. I have, however, been treated like royalty by the folks at Cigar.com over these two problems...I'd almost feel guilty complaining about the Gurkhas.

Anybody else have damage or other holiday fun?

I have accepted it as a fact of life that at least 1 stick will be damaged per mail order I receive. I RARELY receive a package without 1 or more damaged caps or feets.

(BTW, in cigar parlance ,"feets" is correct usage. Umph)

Also, it just occured to me, that my Gurkhas seem to be a high percentage of the ones coming in damaged.

Does Gurkha use a thinner or more fragile wrapper?

Tonto,

You absolutely must contact us and you should never feel guilty about loggin any complaints. I swear if someone is not 100% satisfied with their package I cant sleep at night. I am just a bit ciger crazy I guess. We do our best to get everything there safe and fresh. We use water pillows and slider bags etc. Unfortunately, this time of year does make it tough with the cold weather and such. The cigars change temperature a few times in transit. In the summer these things hardly ever happen. I suspect since the cigars are going cross country that also may come into play. Anway, call the 800 number so we can either

1. Reship you some cigars
2. Credit you for what was damaged or
3. Get you some free cigars on your next order

Happy Holidays.
