Coffee Box Pass?

I am pretty cool with it too! I already have my favorite coffee drinking cigar picked out for you guys. Sorry if I have sent it to anyone before.

Excellent - I will be shopping this weekend! I guess we will need the addy's.

I have Capt's and Brenda's already.

Ok!! I am planning to have everything sent out around Tuesday then. We will just do a 1/4 pound each, with a cigar attached. Man, this is just in time for my B-day!!!

Attention box pass participants:

The pass might be delayed a day. A firefighter that was close to us recently passed away. She died while working the scene of a traffic accident, on a major expressway. She was hit by a motorist not paying attention. The funeral is tomorrow, so I don't know how long I will be there. I will get the coffee on Wednesday and ship it out. thanks to everyone for understanding.

BTW, we are going to send them all out individually right?

Capt:

Sorry for the loss of your friend. Do what you have to do - this is just a box pass.

- Kevin

Sorry to hear about that, Ryan.

And yes, I do believe we each send the packages out individually.

Just a quick note to let you all know that I picked up some Sumatra Mandheling for the pass. Hope this is good with everyone.

Note to y'all: I picked up some New Guinea from a local roaster. I'll be sending the packages tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

I will most likely be getting Ethiopian Yirgacheffe - unless they have something better that just came out of the roaster (I love my coffee shop!)

I hope all goes well with the pass guys. I would like to participate but I do not have a reliable local coffee roaster. I usually just buy stuff from the supermarket as I am not too picky with my coffee. When I get into the hobby I will get in on the action. :D

Phish - do you mostly drink supermarket coffee or do you really prefer to grind your own fresh roasted coffee?

I was lucky enough to have Super T from cigarwise send me a sample of his freshly roasted coffee. It was heavenly. I do not have a burr grinder but I do own a blade grinder. I only use it for coffee to be made in my french press. Since you don't need the grinds too fine for a french press I think it does a good enough job but I may get a burr grinder once I start to roast my own coffee. I am thinking about roasting my own coffee but I do not have the means for taking on the project right now. Maybe in a month or two.

Gotcha - cool - if you're interested in ordering green or fresh-roasted coffee, the place I go to has an online store and they ship within a day or so of roasting. The prices are pretty good (not sure what they charge for shipping) - http://www.nicholascoffee.com if you want to order some online

Hey Folks:

Packages went out this morning via Priority Mail. I apologize for not doing a tracking option but I am swamped here and can't get out of the office today. I normally ship my stuff out this way and it should get to you within 3 days.

I hope everyone enjoys the coffee and cigar!

- Kelvin

I will have mine out tomorrow, first thing. It has been so hectic here lately, with the funeral, and then the wife had surgery today. But, I will get it out, and include some great smokes for everyone!! Ryan

Take your time, Capt - you have enough on your plate. Hope all is well with your wife.
