Kidney stones

As many of you know, over the past three years I have suffered from kidney stones. This morning after waking up, I had a slight pain in my groin and abdomen that felt familiar. Not bad, just a slight pain. I went to work because I had to meet a client at 7am about a bid that I had submitted. At 7:10 I told him that I had to get back to him later because I was sick. I went to the restroom and started vomiting. By 7:15 the pain was extreme. I drove home (about a 14 mile drive) and spent the rest of the morning in agony. I took several shots of apple cider vinegar (supposed to be a good home remedy for stones) but would vomit it up. About 10:45 the pain was so intense that I was going to call 911 to come get my ass, instead I called my mom who lives in Harker Heights. She came and picked me up to take me to the hospital. Cheryl was in a meeting and couldn't get off. The 20 minute ride to the hospital was hell on earth.

As soon as we pulled into the hospital, the pain went completely away.

So we parked and I walked around for a few minutes. Felt fine. In fact I felt great. So I decided to spend the afternoon at homes house. On the way, we stop at a gas station so I could take a piss. Urinating was simewhat strained but okay. As soon as I get back to her car, the intense pain starts again. So I have her take me back to the ER.

As soon as we pull into the hospital, the pain stops. Again.

This time I go into the hospital to use the bathroom and everything seems normal. No pain since about noon. Feel fine now except for being utterly exhausted from the pain this morning. So I think the stone has passed into my bladder thankfully. Now all I have to do is shoot it out. That is a piece of cake compared to passing it from my kidney to my bladder. I pray that all goes well tonight.

The pain is from a large kidney stone is some thing I wouldn't wish on even, well, cHraig.

No pain from noon until 7pm last night. At 7pm hell on earth started. Puking and extreme pain throughout the night. Finally went to ER 6am this morning. New hospital in the area. Pretty neat. They gave me some good dope. Made the pain go away immediatly. No CT scan yet. Doctor wants to see if I can pass it first. So now I am at work tiddying some stuff up and am about to go get presciptions.

I did go to Seton and was very impressed. First time there and they got me in immediatly. I usually go to Scott & White and wait a few hours.

Not a whole lot in way for pain this afternoon. Had a little episode around noon but took a hydrocodone and that seemed to knock it out. A little headache and some minor aches and pains but that's about it. Urinating through a strainer but nothing as of yet.

Just passed it!!! About 3mm. Not quite as large as my largest one.

Thanks guys! I have never taken one in to be analyzed. I don't know why but I have been saving them. This makes 5 in my collection. I'm going to take this one in tomorrow. I need to stop the insanity. I'll do what ever the doc says.
