Fellow railroad buff here, Jason. GREAT PICTURES!!!

My first Lionel train set which I got when I was five I think, from my father, had a 2-8-4 Berkshire, and if I'm not mistaken, it was No. 765. Have to look in the box one of these days. Which railroad is running that Berkshire, a major one or some private excursion line?

The Fort Wayne RR Historical Society owns it AFAIK.
http://www.765.org/

They will announce excursions sometime in '06

When my Father and I were there last month, they were having some brake problems, and a problem with a water pump. I would think they would have her fixed by now.

It took six years, and $750,000 to bring her back to life.

While they wern't giving rides on it, they did have cab tours

They were giving rides in an old wood Wabash caboose, but they were pulling it with a Davenport 44 tonner.

Great Railroad Pics! My dad work for the railroad for 41 years - all of my directions in life have something to do with crossing a railroad track or passing a railyard. He was an Erie man - then Erie Lackawanna - then conrail. He actually had one of those trucks that road the rails - I thought that was the coolest thing when I was a kid.

Sorry on that typo!! I nearly cut my middle finger off my left hand last night, and the bandage is making it a bit hard to type!! No disrespect and I think everyone knows that!

In regards to the smokes, there were 2 Opus X Double corona's and a cohiba Sig 5, my wife had a cusano 18 and a Gurkha Legend 8 year torpedo!

Thanks for the compliments, I really don't deserve such a great woman, but i'm not complaining!!

Hey Eclipse_man, I never thought you meant any disrespect. If you don't live it or know someone you just don't know. No worries and I was mostly teasing you.

I know how you can make it up. Send an Opus X to every Marine on the forum :D

Cheers
Martin
