Some humble questions for the wise

I almost forgot, don't rush it! When you puff too much, it heats up the cigar, and then the flavor will get harsher (more harsh?), anyway, you know what I mean, you won't enjoy it nearly as much if the smoke is harsh.

I like to french inhale to get all the aroma of good cigars. Just let the smoke fall out of your mouth and breath in through the nose.

I also leave the cello on my cigars now as it gives me peace of mind when handling them. Found they also don't dry out as fast if you take a couple in a little holder to the club.

I still haven't been able to blow smoke out of my nose. I end up gagging when I try it.

Cello on for short term, or when I don't have time to remove them (especially if wife is at home)
Cello off for storage
Torch lighter (Colibri, Mini Pocket Torch, and a cheap no-name brand)
Punch cutter (or double guillotine for the torpedos)
I smoke while drinking water, coffee, or Pepsi/Coke

Don't smoke while drinking orange juice. The juice will taste funny.

BAD LOREN!!! No need to rub our noses in it!!!

:D :D :D

I only have 1/2 of one humi with cigars and "no cello." Ahem.

PB, no cello; is that we are calling them these days?

CC, that's dirty pool old man. Rubbing it in to the NC smokers. :shame:

I find a lot of things taste funny with orange juice, except for Vodka of course.

I'm a little confused...

When speaking of cigars, I have heard many to have body (light, med, full) and also flavor with same discription (light, med, full). Can I have a mild "bodied" cigar with medium or full "flavor"? And how do these corrilate to "strength"? As a new smoker, I am leery of anything that says "full" whatever..... can someone enlighten me, please?

Don't stay clear from the stronger cigars (you may regret not trying them sooner.) I suggest trying to take smaller puffs with full bodied 'til you get used to them. Don't start off with Churchills! Try robustos of all varieties.

Trying a wide variety of cigars (at different strenghts) will help develope you palate.

Listen to Brenda!! Exactly what I would say, but I will add: if you smoke a fuller body cigar, please don't do it on an empty stomach.

Man that Brenda is much more than just a pretty face. Its too bad she turned into a cartoon character though, I was just getting to know her!

I guess I assumed that not unlike stronger coffee, stronger cigars would be something I would have to "grow" into. But on your advice, I have odered a couple of more samplers from cigar.com.

Now if I could just get that humi here!

a question on the side.... how do I attach the "original poster"s name to a quote?
never mind...I got it... :duh:

Way ro go Spider, you are definately on the right track. Smoke just about anything you can get your hands on, and then you learn what you like, and what you don't like. and don't worry if you like somethiong that we don'r or vice versa, it always will work out that way.

For example, some people in our forum don't like CAO, but I LOVE EM! Different strokes for different folks!

I will make that exception. I do enjoy the Soprano's line. But the Italia, Gold, Criolo, CX2, MX2 and Black just don't do it for me.
